It's like anger and sorrow and helplessness and power and love and hate and everything a person can face in life in a line. So much of our lives can feel like just trying to get out of the crease between where we were and where we want to be, but not being able to truly be present in either.

Just saw him play this live in Scotiabank Arena, Toronto and was totally blown away... I always thought the song was pretty neat, but then hearing this sound fill a stadium was night and day from the studio version. It totally shook me both mentally and physically (with all that vibration). Felt like some portal to an alternate dimension was being opened. I just wish he would release a live album!
@kalgrandy21013 жыл бұрын
He’s adds so much emotion to music. The softness of “love at second glance it is not something that we need.” And the cry of pain in stark contrast to it “Honey understand I have been left here in the reeds!” “All I’m trying to do is get my feet out from the CREEKS!”
@iamosirisx8 жыл бұрын
I love this performance. Its so raw, its just JV belting into a microphone. It has so much emotion and power, he's done it once again.
@themessenger83346 жыл бұрын
I mean, to be fair, he's also manipulating the vocoder or whatever it is he's using with a keyboard to add layers. But yeah, this version is incredible. I really want to see him live, but over here in the states, concerts like these are typically filled with loud, drunk idiots that would rather talk throughout a quiet performance like this than appreciate the music.

Cause it once might not mean something? Love, a second glance It is not something that we'll need Honey, understand that I have been left here in the reeds But all I'm trying to do is get my feet out from the crease And I'll see you Turn around, you're my A Team Turn around, now, you're my A Team God damn, turn around now You're my A Team

Some of these comments are weird. I doubt professional, touring musicians have that much of a problem with cheering audiences vs silent ones. To say one group is more disrespectful than the other is inane considering everyone paid tickets to see them. Talking is different, though.
