I’m so late to this. I’ve missed these songs for so long. It’s amazing, the progress of this band. I’ve lived through my twenties and most of my thirties, gotten married, been strung out, been well, had kids, changed careers, mostly I’ve grown old. all while listening, loving and supporting this band. I genuinely feel like they have supported, loved and been there for me. Just as well.

The reason this set is so special is because Against Me! Is far far away from these songs now. Not bashing their new style, but this right here is exactly what made me fall in love with this band, and i'm pretty sure Laura has no interest in writing like this in the future.

Gustavo Bitencourt everyone grows up and matures as an artist. Here is what you do. Listen to shape shift with me non stop. Listen to transgender dysphoria blues non stop. You listen close enough and learn the words you start to realize it's fantastic. What do you want? The disco before the break down 2? crime ep revisited? It's not about what you want. It's not about what anyone but Laura and the band want and are doing that is important. She is an artist. She has been doing this shirt for over twenty years. You grow and mature as an artist. Like listen to white crosses. It's way better than new wave. And new wave is fantastic. But white crosses really shows that Laura and her powerful song writing from the golden days is still write here in our faces. Suffocation and high pressure low are just punk as punk gets. It's not about 2:08 second songs. If all punk sounded like the Ramones I would hate punk. It's about awesome music. Awesome lyrics. An all around attitude and mind set. So what I am saying is against me and the whole catalog of songs in a whole are just perfect. You can't stay sounding the same. All artists mature and change. Especially when you start as young a Laura did. 15 or 16. I'm not being mean. I like you. We have talked on my channel. I have the against me vinyl videos. But the band is perfect.
