This album reminds me of being 14 and crawling out of my parents window to catch a ride to Gainesville so i could drink king cobras and listen to this band. 12 years later i still get drunk on malt liqour and enjoy these albums.

i moved to Ocala from California not long after hearing this for the first time. Reminds me of skating strip malls in the rain. Thinking that Gainesville would be some anarchist nexus or something, idk. Hella young.

This gave me such nostalgia. I remember sneaking out to catch a show in Philadelphia. I saw Laura Jane Grace in Delaware a few years back and she remembered me. This band reminds me of the punk kid in me that will never really die.

I think you (2 years ago when you sent this comment) in 7th grade, are probably smarter and more articulate than i was in 7th grade. You're in 9th or 10th by now? I was just hearing this when i was in 7th grade too, way back in the day. my beginnings to not only punk, but to the idea questioning everything. The old words in these songs are still true today. Question everything and don't let anything or anyone define you.

I lost the confidence to write a song So i found three simple chords And I held them together with my weak voice On an out-of-tune guitar my father gave to me And may Elvis turn in his grave And Les Paul curse my dirty calloused fingers And may the likes of this song never make one fucking dollar Leave it for a demo tape to be played until it's broken Then remembered only for what it was [Chorus] That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell [Verse 2] To my friends and enemies who could have been anything Titans and heroes who found survival in cause and effect Behind counters, behind windows, striving just to be people With bitter ideals of justice Do we only need to keep working because it pays rent? Sleeping under plastic stars glued to a ceiling Muscles burning alcohol and nicotine every morning [Chorus] That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell [Verse 3] There's a height beyond skyscrapers There's a distance beyond the freeway More than pictures in a magazine More than tragedy in a rock and roll song It's more than the actions you know it's safe to make It's more than money could ever buy Are we living to work and die in american cities Working to live and die in american cities And dying for what we worked [Chorus] That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell That we gave 'em hell

Yes, they have evolved musically but how would you know their motivations? Most musicians grow and do NOT stay pigeonholed to a style they played in their early twenties. Furthermore, an album like "Transgender Dysphoria Blues", and the lyrical content therein, have serious political implications. Just 'sayin.

This scam.. Party (sprinkles(all different bright colors of the spect)) flavor rigs good color pallet to me. No singe or dig to baker of, but my birthday looks like a party flavor.. Add as something else. Kinda would like icing. Not on it... Well the air of the hope that you can get. Against Me! songs.. They always gave me hope. IDK. Scam? I wont tell you all that the conversations were of and said in 'ems. But Against Me!... Give the plays hell! And ha, how bout help too! What's in up swooops and fuzz... Haul? So you think if it looks like it, it'll just that.. Of good colors... And growing desire to avoid being anywhere where I could see a black flag. Unless that place is in a mood/mode that's bring tragedies better than anything could ever... Just- Well and of also, it it's like a party. But if that whatever item/symbol, if the place, the world, is being sent better. Great. Not nice and repeating of it's nice style. Fun and Great. Not even just a good end. I'm gonna go try the cake perhaps. Not sure if I'm gonna leave the music paused or running.
