This band had such a massive inspiration on so many people, these songs especially to me once they went to a major and Tom transferred to Laura, I love the music he/she writes it's hard to have met him and felt a good connection while he had soo much going on in his head.

David Davidson goddamn not ONLY are you likely a small minded xenophobic/transphobic bigot (exemplified by your comment) but also a misogynist (unless by "chick" you meant "young chicken")! I'm by no means trying to be some type of 'internet police' but after reading such ignorant comments for the better part of the last hour I finally feel no choice but to speak up. No worries though, I'm sure I'm in the minority here as far as values go as you have 27 "likes" from who I'm guessing to be equally dumb sheep 🐑. So congratulations on your popularity "achievement" Just out of curiosity, are you racist as well? Nevermind I've got a pretty good idea what the answer to that is.

Michael Shields Dude, I'm trans and... okay, first of all, how the hell is David's comment xenophobic? I guess you could stretch it (a lot) to interpret it as transphobic. And 'chick' isn't inherently misogynist - I refer to myself as a chick all the damn time. All he's saying is that Laura has a deep voice. Which isn't a bad thing - I sing in a high voice, but I like her deep voice.

pity, Tom's gender / identity struggles were exactly what gave his songs and voice the power and conviction they needed to be great. After he transitioned to Laura, she no longer has the same struggle and her music has really suffered because of it. personal happiness is of course more important than making a high quality of music for those few people who appreciate it though and i support Laura in all her decisions, these are just my observations on the music its self.
