Brett is out on a job all week but we didn't want to leave you hanging!
Today, we talk about how adoptees and adoptive parents should approach sadness. Sadness is a difficult topic to deal with because no one has taught us how to "be sad" properly. Please make sure to tell us your thoughts!
As always, if you find worth in the education, please consider supporting Yes I'm Adopted at yesimadopted.com/support. We also have the education and resource center and podcast on our website for you to check out.

Do you think it was harder to deal with the loss in general or loss of what could've/might've been? It's so truly difficult to hear how challenging it can be

That's an interesting question. I (Dave-O) think dealing with the loss is more immediate, but it is the mourning the future that can't happen that sticks with us. Definitely a challenge, but that's living, right? The responsibility is on us as adults to move forward and grow and mature. Thanks for watching!!!
