The backflip move might actually be really useful. Since the oldest cells merge first, bouncing a cell through you could be a clever way to create a merge kill situation.

Imagine you have two cells that split a while ago but still can't merge. You backflip against the wall and bounce back, so your original two cells (which will merge) are close to the wall. You could use that to merge kill someone closer to the wall. Highly situational but possible.
