It's funny, I knew Jac Schaeffer wrote the Black Widow movie, and I hated that film, and for the longest time it confused me how the same person who wrote the wonderful WandaVision could have written the awful Black Widow. I only found out a few months ago that actually, Jac only wrote the first draft of that movie... then was replaced by someone else, who wrote their own version... and then was replaced *again* with a third person who wrote the final version. Between WandaVision and now this, I *really* wish I could find out what Jac's version of Black Widow would have been. I bet it would have been *amazing.* ...and of course, I wish she could have helmed the Multiverse of Mediocrity, too.

Lilia felt responsible all her life for the deaths that she could not prevent with her visions, when the truth was that she should only be a guide. A messenger, which only delivers the information and allows people to make their own decisions. Lilia's job was to accept her visions and deliver them as a true guide, but she spent so much time trying to repress them and trying to control the outcome that in the end they turned against her.

Funny how Agatha sees divination as beneath her. She was so reliant on the Dark Hold she lost connection to actual magic. Which requires blood sweat and tears. And getting used to unknown and lack of control, like life.

I've seen a post and discussions about how Marvel avoided actual magic for so long, even with Dr Strange there was more meditating and power than actual magic and spells. I have a feeling that Billy will be the first big Avenger to combine both witchcraft and pure power (the blasts and whatnot), actually _knowing_ both.

With the exception of the poisoned wine, Billy has initiated every trial so far. He found and played the record, triggering the metronome. He found and set up the Ouija board, triggering the Casio watches. Now he sees the tarot cards and picks them up, triggering the hourglass. Even that first trial he was the one who found the invitation card and it was his stand-in, Sharon, who drank the wine, triggering the kitchen timer. You could also consider him to be the leader of the coven, having first recruited Agatha to take him on the Road.

Because so far, everything has been triggered by Billy, like the leader should take a step first so the trials can begin. In away, it is Billy that recruited Agatha, by asking her to bring him to the witches road, makes Agatha the first member of the Coven. It is Agatha that found the other members, but it's all because she was more experienced than Billy. But Billy was there too, he recruited them too. Making him the leader of the coven. Agatha does all the other work, again gap in experience, but doesn't instantly makes her the coven leader lol

@@wiinownaa The leader is shared...That's why they are a coven. Every trial has a specialist needed to complete it and the others should wait for the specialist to take the lead. In the wine one it was Jen. In the music one it was Alice, In the slumber party one it was Agatha and in this castle one it was Lillia. The last leaders left are Rio (the Salem wilderness scenes with the cloaks?) and Billy (The blue room where he locks minds with Agatha in the mid season trailer).

I know this is late, but Lilia's future-telling isn't just because she can time-slip. Sure, sometimes she learns new things because of the way her life is on shuffle, but she also does actual divination. For example, her reading of William's palms, that time she wrote the list of names for the coven, when she knew that Agatha was trapped in Wanda's spell for three years, the vision of the Salem Seven entering the Road, etc. The line "when she calls you a coward, hit the deck" was another moment of actual divination, not time-slipping.

The Death card also means Rebirth. Her defining time as an illusion and that ending was such a poetic way of showing it’s never really the end for anybody. She went right back to the beginning to do it all over again. That is honestly one of the most emotional episodes I’ve witnessed as a Marvel fan. I did not expect this from this show. I’m blown away. I really hope they stick the landing next week with episodes 8-9.

I went back and looked at past episodes to rewatch all the call backs this new episode had. When Billy was hurt after the trial Agatha said don’t to Rio bc she was/is death. We didn’t know at the time 🤯

So my theory for the final two episode is that Rio will want Billy/Williams souls because he “broke the rules” but Agatha will fight her like she should have done with her son. Also Billy’s trial will be him getting all his memories back from both Billy & William.

I suspect that she has to be at the end or she wouldn't have known to tell Agatha to hit the deck. The normal divination of palm reading, tarot, and tea leaves are all fairly unfocused and open to interpretation, her actual future-sight seems limited to what's around her as she's bouncing through time.

She doesn't discriminate, and will be at the end of everyone's road, regardless if you were good or bad. And as Rio said herself when they were all talking about their scars, she has a job to do, and she has no say on who she takes (presumably talking about Agatha's son). If this wasn't Lilia's time (as her last warning to Agatha implies), Rio can't take her.

The Witches' Road is its own magical realm, it gets what it wants. The Ballad of the Witches' Road has been telling us the journey all along: The road is wild and wickеd Winding through the wood Where all that's wrong is right And all that's bad is good Through many milеs of tricks and trials We'll wander high and low Tame your fears, a door appears The time has come to go I don't think all that happens, while on the road, is final if your coven finishes the trial because, again, the lyrics: Follow me, my friend To glory at the end The purpose of the trial is a witches full potential, the power of her or his coven! Lilia's teacher/mother hints to this in the episode. Witches of old died just die out because of famine, disease or because they were hunted, but because they turned on one another, abandoned their coven. Had they stuck together during those trying times, they would have survived their big trial back then in the 1600s. All of the witches who joined Agatha all want the same thing, and that thing comes from unity. If one witch gets what he or she wants, they all should too. The trials were designed so that no single witch could complete it herself or himself. This isn't a winner takes all sort of thing; everyone wins. Mephisto isn't the big bad of this series, Death is. Still, I wonder if we'll get a cameo. Death can't be killed, can she? But surely, she can be kept at bay. How? The power of a coven! I cannot wait for the two part finale next week. Disney shouldn't put out a trailer, but sadly, they will =/ Nice reaction you two =)

In the end Lilia was finally able to fill in all of the gaps and make her life's jurney complete. Death means rebirth, so she will now be able to live her life without any interruptions. That's why we saw her as a young girl again at the end.

Just realized the fact that Agatha, even if the motivations were selfish, saves Lilia from that sword going for her without prompting or reminding that they need her. It's giving hints that she realizes she feels sisterhood or belonging in a coven of sorts and that's where it starts getting me teary-eyed. And then Jen near the end where she legit makes sure her covenmates get out before her.

Did anyone else notice that you only hear and see 5 bodies getting impaled on the ceiling swords at the end? There are 2 people in the Salem Seven that can transform into flying animals, which is the cicada and raven, so I think those two are still alive.

Similar to The Last of Is HBO show when we saw episode 3 and saw how they adapted the characters that Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett played and we immediately understood that it was the best episode of that season and both of the actors would be nominated is how this episode is for Patti LuPone. Right now, she is the front runner to win Best Supporting Actress for either Emmy SAG and/or Golden Globe. And will for sure get the nomination across the board. Disney should also push to get the show nominated at SAG for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble cause all these ladies came to perform.
