Billy himself said that no one from Westview wanted to talk about the Hex and whatnot, he only got Ralph's perspective and that was it. He mostly talked about Agatha and yet Billy still decided to team up with her and trust her (up until the whole Alice thing). He's playing it like he doesn't care about her because of what Agatha said, her choosing the town over her family. He still cares since he asked if Wanda is still alive. It's conflicting for him right now, I imagine, he talks kinda like an adopted child who's attached to their current mom, but still has many questions and a bit of resentment towards their bio mom.

GUYS, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but every card has been interpreted by Lilia, except for the Death card. It was abruptly placed by Agatha on top of the Queen of Cups (which represents Lilia, adding to the foreshadowing of her death and her vision of falling to her death). The Death card in tarot represents the end of something, but also new beginnings. However, the card was placed neither upright nor reversed-it was placed sideways. This is interesting because the positioning of a tarot card determines its meaning or fate. For example, when Lilia made the Tower card upright, the tower, which is the location of the trial itself, also became upright-literally. But the Death card being placed sideways hints at Lilia’s uncertain fate-whether she is truly dead or will be resurrected. Their fate depends on the Road (symbolically represented by the table where the cards were placed, as part of the road itself). I hope the prize at the end of the road is them being together again, alive and complete, given that their trials and obstacles helped them find what was missing in their lives!

i mean the death card was placed exactly how it’s supposed to be placed in that specific spread. however tarot is still about interpretation and personal connection so i could see it being like that too.

The position of the card just relate to how it would be interpretation. The reason why Tower Upright reverse gravity is because of her power. Immense power and unwillingness to use in High Priestess not only for Jen, but also Lilia herself too.

It's definitely weird that the Death card was placed sideways, but to the left too which means the querent is getting blocked but it is also leaning as the reverse of the Death card (resisting the end of something and the new beginnings), then Agatha was the one who placed that card instead of Lilia 🤔

@@apollox595 i saw somewhere that it was that they had gotten so good with magic that they were able to transform. I dont think thats a typical witch thing in the mcu(having a familiar seems normal. But i think actually transforming is something that not everyone can do)

Not trying to be a jerk, but the showrunner confirmed in an interview after the episode became available that yes, all seven are dead. We will only see them again in rewatches. Looks like final battle will be with Rio and each witches respective inner demons.

I didnt fully pick up on it/really think about it the first time(thats why i like to rewatch after) but i just realized all the jump cuts are exactly how Lillia was experiencing time/her life. She isnt just getting glimpses of whats to come or what has happened… but her consciousness is literally jumping through time.

Something that I just realized and love is that the conversation Lilia is having with her teacher is happening in the past. I thought at first it was like Lilia having visions, but then I rewatched the scene when the teacher says "How long has it been?" that is when Patti LuPone switches out the younger attracted and responds with "Centuries". This entire scene is happening in the past but older Lilia pops in because Lilia lives parts of her life out of sequence. So in reality it is younger Lilia there but they show us Patti for us to realize that that's the version who is speaking at the moment. So if that is correct, then Lilia just tells her teacher she will die and her entire coven. The teacher is okay with that because well it hasn't happened yet and because she sees death as something that must occur. This is all happening on the day of Lilia's first divination lesson. That is so intense.

Can you direct me to the scene that made it “very clear” that William is “not there”, please? Because I have watched episode 6 multiple times and that’s not what I too, from it. People’s hearts can stop for minutes (some cases of hours) and they come back to life unharmed. William’s heart stopped for seconds before Billy restarted it, so it’s plausible that William’s soul didn’t move on.

Yes, Death in the comics is one of the most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel universe, and she was Thanos' love interest, he was obsessed with her and so was Deadpool.

To be fair most of the witches don’t have their powers. Jennifer is bound but has her knowledge and ep 3 shows the knowledge of her craft. Ep 4 while Alice’s trial shows her protecting the coven through drawing those circles. Then in ep 5 where she protects Agatha from being possessed by her mother. Ep 6 is backstory mostly, and this episode portrays Lilia’s power like you said. I think we will see a portrayal of Rio’s actual power as Death and Billy’s actual powers - not sure for what though. Alice may come back as a ghost as the ballad states “if one be gone, we carry on, spirits as our guide”. Maybe even Lilia comes back to help guide them as well. Rio most likely will be more antagonistic now if I had to guess? Not sure though this shows writing is sooooo good though and I like how most if not all trials showcase the witches speciality in their crafts. Jennifer Kale, potions. Alice Wu, blood witch (protection). Agatha (no idea tbh). Lilia, Divination. Billy yet to be determined. Rio most likely won’t be.

I'm really glad Lilia & Jennifer returned. Lilia 😢😢😢 Im sad that she "died" but remember throughout the centuries she probably has a lot of "gaps" within her. Basically think of life as a youtube video, sometimes her perception glitches out and she unknowingly skips portions of the video. But in order to truly die she needs to watch the whole video as a whole. She probably will experience 100+ years of life before she finally fills in the last gaps in her life which truly ends her.

Billy’s lack of feelings for Wanda really frustrated me, as that’s not typically how it went in the comics, but I guess in this version of Scarlett Witch, Billy would see Wanda as more of a villain anyway. While it makes sense narratively, it still frustrates me. But I also think Billy currently has no memory of Wanda’s goodbye to him. Hopefully that will come back to him at some point. Anyway, Patti fucking Lupone showing us why she’s the legend that she is. Best episode without a doubt. I’m with other commenters that this isn’t just a good episode, I think it could be an Emmy contender.

In the MCU, at the end of the first Avengers movie, one of Thanos's lackeys says "to challenge them is to court death" and in response, Thanose smirks during his reveal. Thanos in the comics worships death and being an actual entity in that universe, the idea of courting her pleases him. It was a very nice Easter egg to the comics

William died in the car accident. He’s gone. Billy inhabited his body and has no memory of his life before the switch. That’s why he went on that journey to figure out who he was in ep. 6. The only thing he felt when he “woke up” was Tommy’s presence. He’s trying to find Tommy because that’s his only connection he has to his old life.

I've been a practicing Wiccan for almost as long as Lilia and my specialty is divination, in particular the tarot. "A card for each of them" is called a signifier. A card the person feels closest to/represents them best. Most people choose a card from the Major Arcana (High Priestess) instead of the Minor Arcana (Three of Swords or other suit card). Beyond representing a person in a reading, if you use tarot cards in spell casting, it represents that particular person in the spell. (Mine is the The Magician)
