I think it also makes sense; Jac Schaeffer the creator said they considered wether Nicky looked like Rio (which looks they went though with) and I firmly believe Agatha and Rio made him together and possibly on accident. Nicky was doomed to pass away and be with his other Mother (Death) but Rio gave Agatha time with him also. This theory is believed by many fans also. Watching the show I keep thinking how similar Nicky and Rio looked.

[27:29] *About Nicky's illness;* Nicky wasn't supposed to be alive so he had a very fragile health since birth. We can see he's got very deep eyebags and all. I've read some piece of Wiki once saying that Agatha was always trying to heal him from everything she could, we can also see that at the back of their house they'd grew some plants that helps with healing, probably had some help of healing witches too - specially Rio (as a Green Witch one of Rio's powers is healing), but at one point Rio had to stop helping healing him, and that's why they fought and broke up, nothing was working to cure him anymore bc his time was coming - _don't know how much of this is confirmed, but I think that makes a lot of sense._

36:06 I believe that Agatha will remain a ghost, as this is a reference to the Scarlet Witch (Wanda) in the comics. In the comics, it's Wanda (Billy and Tommy's mother) who walks the Witch's Path, but alone. And Agatha, who in this particular comic is dead, is the one who accompanies her as a kind of “ghost guide”, just as she will be for Billy in this adventure of going in search of his brother. The plot of Marvel comics is different from the scripts used in films and series. After all, what fun would it be to watch a movie or series if you already knew what was going to happen?! But they always use references from the comics, modifying one detail or another.

a lot of people have said that Agatha was killing witches to either collect power so she could fight death or to keep Rio busy/ satisfied, the one night they didn't kill any witches Nicky died.

Hmmmm, that is a possibility, we would need to get a deeper understanding of Agatha to make that assumption. Hopefully with Wanda everything will be clearer!

I do understand the math behind those theories, i believe them and find them pretty valid too.. BUT I believe Nicky would've died that night either way (them killing witches or not). When it's time it's time, I don't believe it's Rio's choice. 'Cuz she respects the natural order.

@@Ifeanyii_ I wasn’t trying to be overly critical. I’m just a casual Marvel fan myself, and started watching this before realizing I needed to watch WandaVision first. So I paused after the first episode, binged WandaVision, and then came back to Agatha. I don’t think I would’ve been able to follow a lot of what was going on if I hadn’t done that. I actually only wanted to start watching this because of Joe Locke, who I’ve been a fan of since Heartstopper. I also got to see him on Broadway in Sweeney Todd earlier this year. He’s got an amazing singing voice.

Agatha is a siphon witch, she was trying to absorb deaths power which ended up killing her. She said in episode one that if she tried to take Rio's power it would kill her. I think ultimately she sacrificed herself for a number of reasons.

@@Jumbaride haha well I guess a "number" of reasons could be; 1/ she had a change of heart and gave herself up for Billy 2/ she finally forgave death for taking her son and decided she didn't want to run from death anymore 3/ Agatha being Agatha could have an ulterior motive, she did say she "didn't sacrifice herself for him, she took a calculated risk". Maybe she has some sort of plan 4/it could be all of the above at the same time who knows? it's Marvel after all...

I wonder if Agatha actually stopped and asked other witches for help, she could have healed Nicky. But because of her own nature, Nicky was doomed.

That’s actually what Lucy said at some point in the reaction. Agatha didn’t have any healing powers. She could have asked other witches for help but she didn’t. I wonder if they would have been able to actually save the little boy. We really can’t wake to get into WV to understand more about her.

@@MovieMagicReactsIn her conversation with Nicky she says she can’t “heal” him, “protect” him from what’s coming, or “divine” when Rio will return. Those are the skill sets of her eventual coven members - healing/potions (Jen), protection (Alice), divination (Lilia). If Agatha had embraced a coven (rather than killing them), maybe she would have been able to help Nicky.

You’ll understand Agatha and Billy a lot better after watching Wandavision! Agatha’s willful confusion about Sharon’s (“Mrs. Hart”) name will also probably make more sense to you lol I think Billy wanted to banish Agatha because he was upset that she was once again being callous about the other witches’ deaths, telling him he should be too, and, probably most significantly, Agatha knew that Billy had manifested the Road and was unconsciously directing it from the beginning. But she just let the trials play out without telling Billy or doing anything to stop it, even when people started dying. But of course the moment Agatha showed some vulnerability he couldn’t go through with it, he still wants to believe there’s some good in her. I hope we get a season 2 or another spinoff with more adventures with Billy and Ghost Agatha (hopefully back at full opacity lol). And more Jen somewhere!

LOL when you watch Wandavision, you will see that Wanda creates reality... Billy has the same ability, to create reality.. the road was made by Billy, making it real...

Think of witches power like batteries. Unlike dr strange where they pull power from other places witches use their own internal source of power to do magic. Billy (and most witches) is akin to a rechargeable battery. Over time, what they use to use their powers of spells will recharge but they have a max limit they can recharge too. Agatha is like a regular battery. She can’t recharge on her own she has to replace the magic she uses (usually by stealing from other witches) but in exchange has a very high capacity (Billy also has a high capacity as does Wanda). Over the centuries she’d stolen so much that she has so many extra it didn’t matter what she did she had so much extra stored she’d be fine. When it was all stolen she was back to square one. So what she took from Billy he recharges while she has to take more when she runs out again since she can’t regenerate what she used like he can.

I think you just need to know one fact to understand this show better, and to get the best out of watching WandaVision (because almost everyone would know this fact) Just in case you don't want to know - SLIGHT SPOILER BELOW . . . . . , Wanda and her son Billy are "Reality Warpers". As well as being VERY powerful witches, they are uniquely capable of actually turning anything they imagine into an actual, real thing. The easiest example of this would be the way Billy closed the door to the road and just MADE a grave marker out of stone for the three dead witches. He didn't need to cast a spell, use ingredients, or even do anything special. He thought about what he WANTED, and "poof!" it was there, real, forever. Billy even created the witches' road BY ACCIDENT (that's how insanely powerful he and Wanda are) He really NEEDED a way to find his brother, he believed the stories about the road, and when his emotions peaked upstairs fighting the Salem Seven his powers just... MADE IT. There was no road, ever, but Billy NEEDED one, so suddenly there was a door, trees, mud, magic, rules, houses, trials... an entire WORLD! He didn't know or even FEEL anything. Only Agatha, who knew there was no truth at all about there even being a Road, knew that something strange had happened. Agatha knew Wanda's powers were the only thing able to create reality from literally nothing, so she knew at the moment she saw the Road that Teen was Wanda's son. Being able to create anything you can think of might sound cool, but it means that you might get everything you dream of becoming real.... and not all dreams are "nice"

I have to say, watching your reaction to this show, without you having seen Wanda Vision first, actually gave me headache. How did you not know this was a spinoff? Unfortunately when it comes to, pretty much, everything in the MCU,(Marvel Cinematic Universe), it needs to be watched in release order to fully understand and enjoy it. You robbed yourself of an unique experience. Sorry for the rant..😭

I’m sure watching everything in order would have added some depth, and we probably missed a lot of nuances here but we’re totally new to the Marvel universe, so we’re taking it as we go 🤔 That said, we had a lot of fun discovering Agatha’s and the others’ stories in our own way, although I can’t deny that it did give us some headache too 😂 We will circle back to WandaVision after this and we hope to see you there!

The creators of the show said that anyone can watch this and understand it and enjoy it without having ever watched anything Marvel. So you’re frustrating yourself. If you think about it, the whole thing did take place in 24 hours. There were five trials that were 30 minutes each. That’s only 2 1/2 hours. That leaves 21 1/2 hours for the traveling between trials and Billy going home. It just seemed a lot longer because we had to watch it over several weeks. Now that you guys have finished season two, you guys can go back and watch season one (WandaVision) 😊
