I love her books. I read them all when I was put on bed rest while pregnant. I even reread them and pick up something new. I want to read Mary Westmacott books. She is timeless!

This is fantastic. There are so few films of her talking. How I wish there were some long interviews. If anyone knows of more do please let me know. Such a lovely lady with such an amazing mind.

There are two documentaries available on KZbin one about her life with David Suchet and another one about 100 years of our Belgian detective and Miss Marple! Both are fantastic and talk about her personality and writing! I am a super fan And read Agatha Christie as a child! Absolutely loved her! Her and Roald Dahl! And later other writers but I always got my mother to get me another Agatha Christie book! ♥️🌟🌹🧚🏻‍♀️✨👑✨🧚🏻‍♀️🌹🌟♥️

@@mariameere5807 Thank you so much. I will certainly look them up. I read her books when I was 16. My girlfriend and I would go to the library every Friday after work and got through them all. Or at least a lot. 🥰

@@carolking6355 You are very welcome 🙏 thank you for replying! That makes me feel a little less weird as a kid! Even though I’ve been vegan since I was three, growing up in Ireland, that was considered very very weird! I moved here to London when I was 15 so I feel less weird! Anyway, if we were all the same it would be a dull world! You have great taste! Yes check out those documentaries they are fabulous! And you will see a very very old Captain Hastings and chief inspector! Those television series are timeless! Love period dramas! Thanks again and blessings!💛🌟💛

Thank you. That is the first time I have ever heard her charming voice. If only there was more. Does anyone know how I can find the interview in the 1950s I think with the BBC?

BBC produced a CD 'Agatha Christie Close Up' in 2015 which has extracts from her reading her autobiography, as well as extracts from old radio programmes about her.

We love you Agatha Christie! You are still the reigning queen of mystery, quite literally! A mansion of all the books one can buy in this world no one and I mean no one has sold more detective books or novels of any kind than you! I speak about you in the present tense because as a child, I was quite and then you and I used to read your novels and short stories! I think I am your biggest fan and I used to sense your presence and I still do you sometimes, children often see angels and spirits but we forget when we get older but some of us don’t! My grandmother was the same, quite common in Ireland and they used to say it skipped a generation this gift or curse which ever way you like To look at it, and this was the case in my family! Only the Bible and Shakespeare have had more books published Then you take this day and I think that is so amazing and you deserve more credit! What an accomplishment! You will always be in my heart Agatha And I believe that you still work as a muse for the actors and writers and directors et cetera! ♥️🌟🌹🧚🏻‍♀️✨👑✨🧚🏻‍♀️🌹🌟♥️

Fascinating documentary. Absolutely agree - I too think her characterisations were terrific. ‘Painting her characters in a few broad strokes’ 👍 couldn’t agree more. John Moffat - the BEST Poirot (in my humble opinion). He performed in 25 radio plays as Poirot, totally bringing him to life. I’d urge anyone to listen to them - they’re excellent (and the endings aren’t changed!). For me the tv series isn’t a patch on the radio dramatisations. A question- do you mean that when she adapted And Then There Were None for the stage she gave it a happy ending? I wonder why? The book doesn’t have a happy ending - one of her darker novels as is Endless Night.
