Moreover, despite the faultless English accent, it has clearly had no training on period English turns of phrase, cadence and sentence structure. Or if it did, the training was critiqued (if at all) by someone for whom such writing was incomprehensible - I'm guessing possibly Russian. This is compounded by the script feed to the AI being full of typos, like "die" for "the" on this story - which a human reader would not utter unhesitatingly. My guess is that these scripts were from a free online source (like Gutenberg, or lib.ru) generated in the early days of optical character recognition, when such typos were inevitable.
