You can find sisters Angela Mitchell and Ethel DePasquale and a whole lot of comfort food at The Agawam Diner. Situated in a vintage dining car, The Agawam Diner has been serving the locals of Rowley, Massachusetts since 1940.

My mom worked at Agawam diner in the 60s. We lived in Rowley until 1979 on Cedarwood Lane. We would go to the diner all the time!! Loved it as a kid. My favorite place in Rowley. Glad it's still there!!

Grew up in Rowley and left when I was 23 for the Army. Passed through on occasion over the years and always tried to make a stop there. Fond memories. In my 30s I hadn't been back in my home town pretty much for 10 years or so and the menu hadn't changed which was nice. Hot open hamburger!

Finally got back last summer and after almost 50 years I finally had the pot pie and chatted with Angela while getting one last piece of pie before heading home.

Part of my mom's family lived in Rowley and we visited every couple of years. "The diner" as my grandfather called it looms large in my memory. Last time I was in the area I went 4 times for pie!

I grew up in Rowley and my time on active duty with the Army cured me mostly of my accent.
