I feel like having our characters change much more overtime would be cool, outside of wrinkles and gray hairs. There's literally an NPC ingame that tells you that when Chrysids age they begin to grow mains around their necks, it would be cool if this was not only added to the game for chrysids but also for all the other races ingame. Vesparians could gain cracks and small nubs at the top of their masks, Gremor's horns could also turn white like their hair and even grow longer, there's so many options when it comes to to showing age in Deepwoken.

The ethiron time dilation isnt just his work, voidfog and voidsea also has time dilation and only some are resistant to it, like ferryman(he's chainned to boatsman) . There are some lore about erisia having it go into the voidsea recently coming back to the light within eastern luminant as a whole. And duke is also stuck in a time dilation. This would probably make sense to the whole luminant being in a fixed position barely changed. We're surrounded by voidsea which causes the time dilation. We're basically still living in the past but counting the years that go by.

They could even make it so some important characters that you meet repeat their first dialogue like they don't remember you to sell it.

I assume their age remains unaffected due to the fact we all have our own story to tell according to the description, which means from the point our character is born is where the current timeline begins. Meaning that every character is still young in your own timeline, but then again I dont think characters are meant to be that old which is why it might seem weird as in why no one is aging around you. I just think it’s supposed to be an ingame mechanic but having people wipe of old age would just be really annoying

The time dilation affects everyone within range for 45 minutes. why this works on chaser in the first floor is still a mystery. but in floor 2 you can pause the time dilation from counting down by turning on all the obliesks in layer 2 floor 2. the reason i say pause is because nothing changes once you go down again, so i assume you can only pause these obliesks.

There's a lot of systems in the game that got lost or forgotten due to the rush of development, and sadly time is just the most noticeable one. I don't think it'll just progress as a world like we'd hoped but I do have faith the world events update will make it slightly more dynamic.

I have a 200+ year old build that was meant to be a "tanky mage" build with 23 intel and return to the dark ages. 200+ year old builds are fucking horrendous because 1: nobody knew anything about the game and 2: the talents were hard to get. Rares and legendaries were actually rare and legendary.

I believe the main character of deepwoken story is us, the players. The World in which we reside in doesn't have any other player accept ourselves in the lore. When you speak to yamaketzel (Chime of Conflict) guy he speaks of I'm a washed up somebody, or somebody who used to be somebody, i believe that the player we are is actually a 'Deepwoken' one of the immortal characters, explains why we can unlock all the attunements, or beat shako's at power 1. On top of that we can kill a black diver like Chaser with our Powers, Beat Maestro Evenguard Rest and Many other bosses like the Drowned God Ethiron and others. We the player wield power of some being alot stronger than any around us. Edit: When you go to hive, and look in the telescope of the destroyed celestials home, the option we will do better than they did. I believe it is foreshadowing a coming of ages where we the player are the deciding factor between this world surviving or not.

All deepwoken has to add is more lore, every century or so can be a new npc, new character names in every place so it can actually go along with the year of deepwoken, this might be effective once some main lore bosses such as lord regent (soon hopefully to be a boss) to carry out a continuation with a year thing, there could be a thing where in the lore we get this item where lore wise our character does not age past a certain age which is fun and nice if u think about it, whilst having all the regions, cities and factions age and unknown of this secret immortal object which is given to all players. Then this will allow time to act normally with events being a new boss arising from a certain time line and in order to grind the bosses there could be a memory set where we get dive deep into our memories to that point in time to fight that particular boss (boss must be defeated first of course, layer 2 bosses arent counted for) this is just my idea of what deepwoken lore could add according to time, i dont know, lets hope they do SOMETHING about lore instead of making attunements more broken than silentheart stuff 😭

Ngl, I think our characters should definitely change in someway as they age. Here me out. The idea I have is that there would be three different categories a race would fall into as they age: Cosmetic, Buff or Nerf. Cosmetic races would change quite a bit once they reach a certain age, becoming similar to their subrace. The races in question would be the Vesperian, Gremor and Capra. Buffed races would become stronger as they age. The races in question would be Adret, Ganymede, Lightborn, Heliodor and Drakkard. As for some of the abilities, some examples are is that an Adret would gain a extra Wildcard mantra slot while a Ganymede would gain Animal King for very specific Depths mobs such as Jellyfish and Crabs. Nerfed races would be the majority and would lose their passive buffs due to their old age. For example, a Etrean no longer would take reduced DMG to acid rain. However, these abilties aren't gone forever and I'd imagine there would be someway to get them back. Maybe even some way to improve them such as an Etrean being able to become entirely immune to acid rain. As for what age these changes would appear, I'd imagine it would be around 100 years.
