At 46:50 how do you deselect units from the group? Love your videos by the way. Great macro control

Shift left click. The game doesn't support all of the rts fundamentals for control over your army, but they did at least include this one.

Pretty sure I hold control and just click on units to remove.

Really enjoying this game. I won veteran on my 2nd game and horrific on my first try but not even going to try nightmare without custom settings. I can micro the army fine but without pause, I can't think and plan the base in order to macro.

Those Rogues give you so much income

Rogues got changed a bit, are completely broken. Tho I didn't build many. You can get 50 of them and put on top of a crystal to truly break the game.

@@crunchy_weasel hello, can you make a guide how to win a nightmare difficulty(easiest possible strategy with passive defense with towers or ballistas) for beginners, im kinda bad at expanding the map and controlling units, in coop im with my friend can not even defend 1st night no matter the strategy we are using

@pekar3056 I'm not sure about a guide right now, until they fix the latest bugs, but I can give you easy tips. 1. Use stone walls for the 1st wave, you lose on stone but save on so much gold and wood. 2. If you're using ballistas and stone walls, manually target axemen with them. Because they break armour off of stone walls. 3. Pikemen are great because they can hit over 1 layer of walls. You can use this. Always try and use it. 4. Burning a piece of a wall sets all enemies on fire, even spitters and spear throwers. You can kill all spotters by burning 1-2 stone wall pieces. Good luck soldier.

@@pekar3056well.. here's a long explanation(I am still trying out horrific, maybe take crunchs words more seriously than mine): when I was playing on normal difficulty and stuff, I used grand balistas and bellows a lot. this was untill I tried to min max veteran. I noticed grands were expensive as f, and didn't do much compared to 2 impalers. I just got an intrest in siege weapons and found em great. as the order, of course use catapults and max AOE range increase(maybe 1 bulwark if you use a lot of impalers). the rebellion and volatists? spam impalers, a few flamers(that are pretty meh imo) and pray to god you live. now, what was the result of this? i didn't need to build 3 layers of walls, and i could repair them in combat effectively due to the distance gained by siege units. its essentially saying: "frick walls, they can't kill me when they can't reach me". oh and try to have 5 towers or 6 for final death nights. now for exploring. using 2 armies is a pretty dumb idea(you probably found that out playing on nightmare) so just merge it into one. try to micro your melee and arbalists individually, because the spitter spam ive seen on higher difficulties are just INSANE. i like pikemen because they're fast, deal good damage and with the way of the blade blessing, they're a menace. TLDR:i know you want to, but try not to use passive defences. only one im fine with is bellow towers. and only for when i don't have much AOE. use 1 layer of walls, use flamers near the walls, spam impalers(and catapults as the order), and have 6 arbalist towers. its expensive, and you have to clear the map by the time between death night 4 and 5, but its worth it. anything will be a breeze.
