1794 is the Reign of Terror, the Revolution itself started a few years earlier in 1789.

Continental Blockade also disables shipments for your allies. It's a fun reference to Napoleon's Continental System against Britain, which did indeed hurt his allies' trade.

As a Frenchman, it's funny to listen so many pronunciations of "sans-culottes" and none of wich are even close to be understandable by a native french (for your information, it's [sɑ̃kylɔt] or [san-ku-lo-t']). Anyway, I'll try to copy this strat and bring back honor to France in ranked.

The Hot Air Ballon card isn't bad, the balloons get insane LOS, and you get a permanent one on top of getting the ability to place temporary balloons. If you send the card before sending Napoleonic Era you can send it again in AgeV, with those two you can almost see the whole enemy half of the map. (You get this card in AgeIV before revolting as well, so you can have 3 permanent balloons). It can be really helpful since you don't get spies.

I wish we could somehow also get the civil war for the USA as a unique revolution where we choose one of the two factions but that probably is too spicy of a subject for the devs. Also, you should, of course, pronounce it the way you want but the way you pronounce sansculotte can be easily improved by saying "sun-cue-lot" instead of "sense-cuh-loot". Fun fact, sansculotte literally means bottomless.

Yo funny little side-note but the Napoleon Gun gets enabled in the Saloon when you "age" to Napoleonic Imperial! Also Grens with that gather card can actually mine from Estates at a baseline rate of 1 coin/second (unupgradable), same as the rate at which they mine from mines which ain't bad.

The only big downside to go with this revolution is the lack of access to Legendary upgrade for natives. But this is great for those special maps without natives as the Old Regime only allows you to build a limited amount of those.

You sort of brushed over it in the video, but the horse hunters card is absurdly powerful. Stacked with a few other training cards, it allows your dragoons to insta-train, and the bonus multiplier against cavalry is 2.0! This puts them at pike levels of anti cav bonus and basically makes cavalry a non-option when facing revolutionary France. Combined with dirt cheap Sanscullots (which are basically French strelets), and your army is really nasty to beat.

French revolt be like : Anti building and infantry villager ( they also learn basic formation) Grenadiers with more deadlier melee attack and fast woods and mining rate ( also 10% x3 armor) Speedy & tough artillery ......and more

I know about it, but when I record I always keep devasd and speed always wins off due to the increased XP terribly constantly making the shipment sound play over and over. I've decided keeping them off makes for better video quality

@@bisongaming729 There's a mod called "faster shipments for all", which gives you a tech in your Town Center to almost instantly send shipment like Confucius gift, I used that for testing all the new stuff that came with the update. That could help in your videos as well.

@@blessed8543 Yeah, I ran the numbers and it just can't work. The fact you can advance to the Napoleonic age made me think that it was different from other revs... It was not. I mean it could be possible if the Nap. Age unlocked the capital and its eco upgrades, but it doesn't. It's no different than any other rev, which is kind of a shame

​@@ThePheonixonYou should just end game before AI get Imp, if you're planning fight post imp all the revolt are useless. When u revolt to Napoleonic era you can have a overpop army and use this power spike to finish the match.
