@@LillyAnarkitty Big difference between knowing his position and cracking a joke vs being egotistical. The reality is Beasty is consitantly the highest ranked AoE4 player in the world, it's not an estimation at this point he is statistically the best. Everyone who has ever looked at AoE4 world knows this. He's got a few options with what he can do with that info. He can, A) Ignore it and pretend it doesnt exist, dont make guides, dont stream, just play. B) Brag about it constantly and tell people to shove it because he clearly knows better. C) Regularly make self deprecating statments about himself during videos to try and downplay his skill/inteligence. D) crack jokes about it while making good content. Arguably only 1 of these is a display of humility. 1 is simply disconnecting from the world amd the other 2 are arguablly two sides of the same coin that is egotism. Just to move the conversation along for us, D is the only real humble solution here. A is disconnected and B and C are both egotistical behaviors, where one is overbearing and the other is manipulative. Now obivously I'm not arguing that Beasty is some perfect human being, no one is. But you're just looking to pick a fight calling him egotistical for his joke that is a handfull of seconds in an hour long video about helping others less skilled than himself get better at something they love and enjoy.

Why is it necessary to spam TC when there’s an icon how many villagers are being produced ???
@Ilandria.4 ай бұрын
It's only needed when your eco is tight enough that you can only afford to have 1 villager in queue, because you want to add a new one right before the first one completes. Once your eco is good enough that you can afford to have 2 in queue you can just add a new villager whenever you see there's only one remaining. Even then though if you have a good internal sense of time you can afford to check the production buildings MUCH less often than spamming (like once every second or two). A lot of the spamming just comes from keeping your fingers warmed up and playing at a constant pace throughout the game rather than speeding up and slowing down during intense and calm moments. I can't claim that playing at a more measured place at each moment is viable at the highest level of play (since I don't play at that level), but you can go very very far in pretty much any RTS with a conservative amount of APM.

The best way I went about it is to ask yourself this "What military is best for me?" Horsemen, Archers, infantry, siege weapons, or ships! Learn what military you use best first and then learn how to manage your economy. I say learn your military first so that way you can learn how to defend yourself. If you fail to learn how defend yourself, you'll lose before the game even starts! So some Civs have bad early game but good late while others have good early game but bad late game. I've played games where me and my team had bad early games but end up winning late game and vice versa. So learn what military is best for you and then learn from there.

It also helps him keeping a high rythm. High APM isn't necessarily effective APM but it allows a player to multitask easier and commit less mistakes. Try to force yourself to play faster and permamently switching between all your control groups and you'll see what I mean. You'll have a much better reaction time, and there is usually a point where you can clearly see your opponent isn't paying enough attention on whole fronts when you start doing this. Then, when you start being confortable with f.e 3 control groups, you add one more until you really feel you are overwhelmed. You'll eventually reach a limit but If you don't push your limits you'll always be average or slightly better than average. Hope it helps, cheers.

Hey man, thanks for the video My problem with the game is that when i constantly produce military units i get into the habit of using the select all military hotkey, because i dont want to lose the fight because of having idle military units. Unbinding and using the select all idle military units didnt help me that much because it doesnt count newly produced units that are going to the rally point and i cant keep spamming and using it all the time. I am loosing many fights when i dont use the select all military hotkey. The problem with this hotkey is that i cant fight on two fronts and split my units accordingly. Also my strategically placed scouts are selected as well and die because of that. How do break this habit and how can i integrate newly produced units in my army more efficiently? Thanks in advance.
@appledoo9 ай бұрын
The best thing i can suggest is using control groups, and establishing your production rally points close to the frontline, this works fairly well, and you could of course unbind the select all key

The spamming in the beginning is really unnecessary. You can see if you're producing villagers without spamming the TC, literally above where you look on the TC you can see if you're producing villagers and if so, how many are queued.
@alberto32788 ай бұрын
When you got a lot of time is fine what you are sayng. When u need to be fast the beasty way is the best option. And a reason more, just to let you know: usually players like beasty (or any other good player in rts) do that as a warming up. At the beginning of the game you don't need a lot of apm, but you'll need it later. Starting from the beginning with a lot apm (even if they are "useless") it'll help you later when you'll need it. You can check any good player in starcraft, AOE2, CnC, etc etc. they do the same. BTW, i don't thing a top 10 player of a game needs advice about how to play from a random guy on youtube ;)
