Best series on youtube. Watched every single video so far. I remember when I started playing chess online 10 years ago. I would watch a lot of if videos on openings (the build orders of chess), tactics, etc. I was having a slow but constant increase in rating, however everything changed when I found a youtube channel where an IM was explaining his thought process during 15 minutes games. My rating exploded after watching those videos. I went from 1200 to 1500 in a matter of weeks. I'm a low diamond player in AoE IV, I'm curious to see how much will these videos affect my rating in the following weeks, cause I feel this is the best type of content for people looking to improve ar the game.

A best tutorial would be how to control the army in slowmo. How toselect, assign, reassin, move attack, etc. Maybe by casting a replay commenting in detail what ur doin at certain situation. Using mouse button for short cut? Anyway thx for the content.

@@thatoneguy5191I use SHIFT + 1 to add units to an existing control group 1. To remove units from control group 1, either select the ones to be removed and press CTRL + BACKSPACE, or select the ones to keep and press CTRL + 1. I suggest you create a skirmish game vs easy AI and just play around with this to get the hang of it.

This is really helpful. Since I only know how to play English. A more basic step by step guide would be more helpful. There was much stuff I didn't understand. Like multiple things being named and I didn't know what it means. Like ceshicks.

yea, ive learned this is the wrong channel for that. These "how to" videos by beasty are just glorified "look at how good i am at this game" videos and not actually how to anything. Hes a great player but hes an awful teacher or coach. Ive honestly learned very little from this channel. And the 2nd biggest aoe4 channel, Aussie Drongo, is only slightly better. There are other much smaller but much better channels for learning build orders and stuff. I suggest checking out the channel Valdemar. He explains things clearly and step by step and is one of the better build order channels ive found and he explains why you are doing everything you do.

Is council hall not viable for first landmark on the 2TC build. I understand you lose the King as a harass unit, but as Beasty said, a problem English have is production buildings after hitting castle. Placing Council hall and then White tower gives access to faster production of a Knight + Xbox/Longbow comp as soon as tower is down and gives the option to produce units in feudal if needed to defend against an all in. Just my thoughts.

The concept I don't understand is- in the late game you have 120-140 workers and that only leaves 60-80 pop for army/siege. Is that enough?

Yes since more eco, easier to replace your army. If you lose a 100-130 pop army without the eco you are done.

It depends on how the game went before Castle Age. If you are on the defensive and your opponent is pushing hard on you, White Tower is definitely the better choice but if you know that the army count between you and your opponent is similar and you are in no immediate danger, an extra TC is more valuable than a defensive keep.
