this particular mission is kinda weird when it comes to difficulty. The AI is kinda ... not that clever so I feel that this mission is easier than it feels. Also, Conqs are a thing :D

There were no glitches in particular. The archers pathway on the cliff might be, but it seems to be just an aoe pathfinding thing. :-) You are supposed to flee from the first village. After they destroyed it, they always go on attacking your main base, but that is only true for their first attack group. As soon as you've taken controll of the main base, they will attack it form their main base with bombard cannons etc as well. Sometimes they go directly for the wonder, if you're unlucky. In your case it seems that they headed towards your second towncenter.

As I recall, the Ai wants to destroy green, then the first army moves down and attacks orange. That is why the AI is bugging I think. Its trying to kill orange and running into your second TC

Na Viper, it was that Spanish vil taking down a cavalier 11. I do think it might have been glitched as I played it on Moderate the other day and they attacked me soon after I had started making army in the main base you get. I did this mission by spamming monks and converting their paladins from inside my walls, then using the paladins to fight their siege.

The army that attacks your first village is also the one the ai uses for its first attack. If you defeat it at the village you get a long time to build up.

I think the purple army that attacked you in the beggining was supposed to kill all of the green and orange stuff and attack your town afterwards (they had so many siege weapons after all). That's why it seemed like you didn't get attacked for such a long time and when the next waves came, green and orange building were their priority target (there is probably a trigger for the purple army to give you a little bit of time to build up your defences), otherwise they would have gone straight for the wonder.

The initial army they sent to the first town ends up going to Valencia, as well as those archers that were glitched out on that cliff near the other town. Then there are continued waves of Cavalier/Paladin followed by siege. I lost when a treb razed the wonder very early in it's construction because I went straight to Valencia and all the starting units and waves went straight there like they're supposed to. Still not a terribly difficult mission, but it is indeed slightly tougher when you're not The Viper.

I usually place a farm before the second the wonder spawns to play this campaign like a build and destroy, and yes defending that town is very possible and it has a lot of wood around it. orange markets for gold and then get to post imperial age and make a lot of units and start bringing down their towers castles stables and all other of their buildings.

I think you glitched it a bit, because purple still tried to get to the first city. And the army was standing next to the cliff, because it couldn't be produced where purple's initial forces were spawned, forest and river blocked the access to the buildings you later deleted. But from then it all went as it should. AI is just too easy for you to beat.

I think they fixed it, tried it, saved the town, but the archers bugged over the wall into the town and the green gate (has some importance) was deleted after i got the new to the new town. purple then sent 4 cavs and a swordsman to green through the top of greens base but i converted those and purple attacked the wonder like normal........ maybe needs further testing to see if maybe its the donkey monk discovery? maybe if I walled against purples cavs so they would neither die or destroy? idk, i'll try and re-create your outcome it for a speed run/cheese strat

I think all the original campaigns have glitched AI. They should be sending stream of units on you, but now they just send few units at start and even those units are bugged as they are attacting only their preset target and have problems to change to new one.

Yeah I had such problems with The Forgotten campaigns. At some point AI spams lots of units, I'm about to lose and suddenly they just stop producing, I mean they still do some but just a fraction of what they did previously. It was long time ago though, perhaps they have fixed it by now.

Would be great to see how you manage the proper campaign AI. These campaigns are meant to be hard. WIth AI not attacking most of the time, the fun is gone. E.g. there is no way the knights would not attack your vills at 8:24

You may have glitched those archers at the beginning, but when i played, they completely destroyed that town and then didnt attack me at all after, so maybe its just the campaign.

yea it was clitched, they will desroy those 2 towns and attack before you will get your eco fully rolling, they should trebucket your walls. But this is HD so maybe it's clitched anyway also

Hey, yes I do. I've followed a ground rule of 1 ad every 8-10 minutes if the game is more than 30 minutes long. If it's 20 min, I usually throw just one in at 10 minutes. So far people have seemed to think that's reasonable, but obviously, I prefer that the viewers are happy with the flow of the video overall, so I would like more response on this subject.
