The one thing they haven't really talked about is you can go "full steam punk" or some other tech unlike most 4x games where you have one tech tree in this you don't have to Invent gunpowder or the airplane Witch I think is super cool

Noice finally a new episode, y'all need to check the alt/fantasy eras, there are some crazy ones. I kinda want to see it happen in multiplayer though. I also have 100% this games achievos and know how hard some of those are to get in a multiplayer game.

you may want to get bombard ships in order to take Byzantium, they can attack cities without getting retaliated on, and deal very heavy damage to anything

It is such a shame this thing isnt multiplayer. In that case here is an idea for a viral vid: remember, when Lewis did a tutorial start for civ nad was talking about rushing the great Library? I do... I member. pepperidge farm remembers. I would so enjooyyed a version of that in this. EDIT: there is a bunch of how to and tips and tricks vids about the game I know. I didnt find one that is for dummies. I didnt find one where the person explaining it had so much understanding that he was able to explain to a 6yo

outposts transport things back as goods but you said this is an older version and it looks like it actually is transporting back as tea, so i'm not sure how this version works? in release versions everything that comes from outposts is just "goods" which is still very good, probably better than most of the resources by themselves, certainly before you start considering processing of said materials you would do. I haven't tried an islands game yet, i am going to but i don't know if i'll like it at all. in civ i like sea combat or rather that boats can affect land combat with their ranged attacks, but in this you really just can't get boats to do anything to ground units aside from the siege boats vs cities, which while great is just a catapult/cannon ability on a boat. otherwise navy doesn't really do anything for you unless you just need control for a landing party. Also read the blurb at the bottom of the various national spirits, for example the commanders there says it spawns a "field marshal" unit for you which you glossed over because you were reading the various traits. I totally did the same thing when i read through the traits as well the first time. I know the khans also have a unique spawn when you take that tree. So just double check that area in case it specifies something like that. Razing was added in the patch yesterday, so if you plan on doing a new game go for that new patch imo
