It's black, what else do you need ? Red/Blue are here for the player, and the dream Arkantos had a few episodes ago didn't need to break the 4th wall. He should have been given an armor set from Gargarensis' faction or something, because now it seems players are confused when the boat goes blue even though the story tells you the black sail will fool the opponent.

Sometimes the missions start you out with conflicting gods, like this one giving you the Wadjets on Isis. Incidentally, you also have bronze, which is a Greek God Power, and Rain, which is Ra's Starting God Power.

One thing you missed was that in the southron corner of the map is a small island with a gold mine and one or more relics AND a gaia roc (which means you'll get it once you get close enough to it). Also choosing Hathor would've been more convenient since you wouldn't have needed to waste so much resources on tens of Royal Barges

I must admit, when I played through the campaign that small island completely escaped my notice. Just loaded up the game to see it for myself. It had gold and relics, but no roc :(

Greeks have to spend pop space for favor but they can easily regulate how much they get. Other civs don't. Norse can get huge favor spikes from battles but it's the most unreliable income. Atties can't go 1 tc heavy myth but favor is totally free of charge. So all civs have pros and cons.

On this level I like to train as many villagers as I can, go into Heroic Age with Hathor, summon some rocs and fly them to the beginning island, abandoning the town center. Even on Titan difficulty the TC almost never got attacked when I do this for some reason. The beginning island has plenty of resources to finish the level even on Titan, at least from my experience.

I see people being upset about Viper not picking the Hathor. Although it is the common choice, it obviously doesn't make the scenario impossible to play. For me, I was impressed and surprised by the efficiency of which Viper managed to secure the waterway and harass the enemies on land.

Viper, with Egypt you can boost your favor by blessing your monuments with son of Osiris, Pharao's and (upgraded) Priests (I think). Maybe that helps!

@@Graatand I recently played Galactic Battlegrounds recently after playing it a ton as a kid, and holy shit is that game not balanced. Almost every unit is ranged, but ranged units do almost no damage to buildings. Even the mounted flamethrower guys are pretty shit at destroying buildings, so siege is an absolutely necessary. Also, shielded walls are straight up can't be destroyed by Troopers, the shield regenerates faster than a whole army of Troopers can damage it. The Onager equivalent has a tiny aoe, so is pretty worthless against anything but pummels and heavy mechs. One last complaint in this rant is that mechs are insanely powerful compared to barracks units. Strike Mechs one or two shot barracks units, which just makes them even more worthless.

They earn favor by attacking enemies. It's so strange. I guess you might do well with that since you like to put pressure on your opponents in AoE. It will motivate you to move forward and not feel like you're taking to long with these levels.

For me, personally, Egypt is one of the easier civ to learn, especially Isis with cheaper tech and no need to micro to benefit from eco bonuses like ra. For favour generation, just build tons of monuments and leave it as that. You can get pharoahs to empower them too.

If you use Son of Osiris god power on your second pharaoh (which you get from one of Osiris' techs), the game treats it as having lost that pharaoh and sends you a third. You then have 2 normal pharaohs and 1 SoO. This is extra useful if you want to send one forwards to attack with the SoO and one to stay behind looking after the economy.
