Aoe2 multiplayer was miles ahead tho. The town center system in aom together with the hard pop cap makes every game a stance still until somebody gets an advantage, and then it's full snowball. But the single player if aom will be in my heart forever

They might, given AoE 2's success. But if they do, two things I persobally want: 1- *redo the entirety of the Tale of the Dragon campaign!* The maps, the textures, even the stories could use a lot of tweaks and improvement. 2 - maybe 1 or 2 new Civilizations with their Myth Units and God Powers, maybe Persians or Babylonians. This one is tough, though, because a lot of their aspects were already incorporated into either the Greeks or the Egyptians.

I Love that the Intro Portrays the "Backstory" and the hint of Poseidon being the Bad Guy. The Intro Shows the war between the olympians and the Titans in a way. Kronos gets defeated by Zeus and is locked in the tartaros. Then the Temple gets Destroyed, Arkantos gets helped by Athena and flees. But poseidons Trident falls and nearly Hits him. That was on purpose. He wanted Arkantos to die. The Main campaign in this Game was called "The Fall of the Trident" (at least thats the direct translation from German). It is all shown in the intro, but you only ever realize that after you beat the campaign.

Honestly looking at this intro, I think the mechanic that the Atlanteans have for their Heroic units was either prototyped and shown in the intro, or was inspired by the intro, because literally, human units getting decimated by Myth units, only for them to get a blessing from the gods, and then charge right in and destroy the Myth Units.
