I was kinda hoping that Slingers would get some base stat buffs in exchange for the significant electrum nerfs. That +10% damage isn't gonna be felt all that much when Slingers only do 3 damage per shot. Ah well, Egypt is certainly eating this patch.

Thanks for your analysis! It's great that Citadel Center finally got buffed, but perhaps they should also make it harder to destroy without siege weapons or siege units. It's a Citadel after all, not a regular TC, and since it's never used twice in one game, it should be a more formidable structure.

ive been hoping for Ras rain to be changed but i definitely did not guess correctly. i was expecting the rains 200% bonus to be nerfed when it stopped working on enemies and/or allies. it can almost be viewed as a 100% buff to the caster in the late game when both players have farms since opponents wont get the 100% bonus anymore

Just started with AOM and I love it. I play AOE since 1 and also all the warhammer games. My only 3 concerns right now since I am mainly a vs ki player are: 1. the defence buildings and also the walls are way to undertuned. Like it almost feels like every unit runs down my stone wall like it’s nothing. That destroys the purpose of defending and the reason to use artillery. It cuts down the strategical aspect. 2. I love titans but playing against KI they are insanely broken. Most of the time I am facing 3 titans trying to push my base when playing teams and my KI mates are dumb af. I like to play it slow so most of the time my enemies are able to make their titans and I don’t mind titans being strong however they need to create some counter measurements. 3. I like to play teams and make huge battles but the ally KI is down the road retarded.

Can the Oracles' line of sight for generating favor now overlap? They didn't mention this in the patch notes, but I tested it today and found that overlapping their vision no longer reduces the favor generation rate!

Well electrum bullets is quite the nerf. from 1 divine to 0.5 divine and 0.3 pierce. Charriot archer upgrade is quite decent, and needed, was a 3 pop unit with near a normal archer damage... We will see how the tracking works!! on your test the fast calvary was not hit at all while moving in a direction, only when moving back! I think also is a huge nerf for defensive buildings, that got benefit from ballistics too!

3:15 I've been saying it since the game came out, buildings seem to be made out of wet tissue papers scrapped together mounted atop of popsicle sticks. Literally feels like they are all tents, NOT BUILDINGS, LET ALONE FORTRESSES. Like the other AOE series get so good the concept of a castle and such, you don't simply send units to take it down like nothing, your units die if they try to take it down without siege, here you can have villagers take it down ffs.

I feel like the outcome of Implode is a bit random based. Sometimes more or less units survive, it is really weird. Fixed an issue with Huntress’ Axe, where the Throwing Axeman could still miss a target 1/5 times. Seems like TA now have really 100% accurancy and it is more worth to use the tech, especially if Ballistics do not work the same as before. I think Thor was very strong but the nerfs are huge. Like not making it a bit weaker, rather -50% and "faster" in later ages, where you can build just another armory... But from +25 favor to +50 favor on goldmines is naughty, why not like 15 favor more or so

meanwhile me with thor: here I go having to try build orders again. kinda sad they made his early game harder when its where he suffers the most already (though the increased research speed staring from age 3 is powerful especially sicne he has more upgrades to go through than other gods, meaning now he would REALLY leverage a tech advantage) Also while throwing axemen with burning pitch was broken and needed the nerf bat, man I'm still sad to see it nerfed that bad because norse siege units SUUUUUCK. Lastly.. i wonder if there is really any point to Tyr now. His god power that was "meh" at best before out of team games is now far weaker, and his upgrade to berserks is STILL rather useless (lifesteal on a melee glass cannon is BAD and will always be bad no matter how the numbers are tweaked, i wish it was their old health and damage buff from the original game instead), and its not like his myth unit is amazing either, especially when its competition is FIRE GIANTS. I really have a hard time finding a reason to pick Tyr over Baldr or Hel. also seems you skipped over the change to cyclops that justify the smaller radius: no more damage falloff within that radius

The only thing that even justifies him being here at all is the global nature of Fimbulwinter and could be too powerful of an intel tool at earlier ages. Past that, yeah he is just sad. Which sucks cause I picked him an lot as Thor in the original for beefed up Ulfsarks, and I do like the wolves mixed with Valkyries as a very mobile myth unit group, which still kinda works in retold (though the wolves are still awful as soon as they arent flanking archers for a myth age unit, cheap as they are)

Sadly AoM editor is not as good as AoE2 and you are not really testing some stuff just by upgrading the player to Age 3 or 4 (as you see the units keeps the Age 1 stats, so I think that Armory upgrades also not work). My point, you didn´t test new ballistics.

Im sorry if im gonna diss you, really really sorry, but toughts like yours, that kind of mentality of "Ok them trying to do something, lets look just at the positive side and not freaking out when they broke the entire game with a patch" its the kind of mentality wich ends of people quitting the game, and trust me, IM PRETTY SURE the game gonna have a big fall the upcoming weeks, so much people gonna uninstall or just ignore the game because its gonna be so boring, then the chinese exp gonna come out, the game gonna have a big spike, but its not gonna last and the game gonna be a dead game averagin under 10k players online.... I really believe when things like this keeps happening, nonsense patches, the competitive players, the top of the ELO should rage the devs and encourage the player base to put pressure on the dev team to really do the things the way it should be. About rain: I think devs should try to not change legacy mechanics to keep the games identitiy we all know. Rain should had been buffed. Even stronger rain that still give bonus to enemy means both more justifyable early farms for the boost and early farms, once again, for denying enemy the bonus. This is what ra needs to be stronger and unique at the same time.

Ra is broken, hades nerfed bcs of ballistics, the Lure buff in Wonder age i read that as a joke, theres no other explanation. I keep reading those eggy buffs and i keep not understanding how it got approved, like how didnt anyone tell em "its broken", i keep playing some matchups in my head with Ra and if u do some slighly changes from the last patch meta its even stronger, and nothing can stop it anymore since everything else is nerfed, Ra is by far, by real gap, the best god rn if u play at his strenght which is very obvious, i cant understand why every patch that arrives makes the game even more imba

Wouldnt agree on that. I think Ra got carried A LOT by the extremely strong Electrum Bullets, but players even began to play around it because Eggy armies are still pretty weak in midgame. I think economically they are meant to be on the powerful end of the spectrum (especially Ra) since you are lacking in other departments. Just now Ra is in a better place compared to a couple of weeks back when he wasnt even competitive in ANY matchup. So I think players shouldnt be pre-whining about Eggy. There is plenty ways to play around Eggy's strength, the meta will discover it's ways. I think AoM is in a good place with this patch.

The lure buff wasn't so much intended as an actual balance adjustment, more just to make it align with other god powers like dwarven mine that get a similar wonder age boost. Minor change, but a good change just to make things more consistent.
