Great battle report as always. Love seeing the snakes on the table again. As a quick reminder, Archaon wouldn't have been able to use All Out Defense in the first round. He issued the All Out Attack command to the Knights (as opposed to their unit champion issuing it to themselves) so there was nobody left to issue the All Out Defense command to Archaon. Incredibly minor, as there were enough command points to do it the other way around anyways.

Great battlereport lot of fun to watch and 2 really cool armies. Togheter with Hedonites problaly my 3 favourites. Shoutout for the chariot. find it a real shame that they just are so underwhelming.

Archaon went hard this game, I think if Michael was more aggressive in the early rounds to deal with him, they may have been able to swing the win. But going multiple turns without taking primary points is always very risky

Mindrazor and Finest Hour on the SQ with Arch in front of him. I can see why Michael did what he did.... but you have to give yourself an easier charge if you are blowing FH on offense. You have to assume the Warriors are going to redeploy. The game was pretty much lost there. Overall I love seeing DoK back on the channel!!!! Keep saying it... one of the best batreps on KZbin!

In my mind i was doing the risker move for the win vs the safer move for the loss. As soon as that failed, i knew i had just screwed up but you still have the play the game as well as you can from that point forward. If i had to do it all over again i would be gunning for Arachaon.

@@BattleshockWargaming It also makes us better players in the long run. Seeing how other people play and the risks they take is super helpful for crafting your own playstyle. Also Khinerai are amazing as well, 3-4 BT a game its nuts!

@@sasukeds for sure i was blown away by how well the khinerai did. Recently Daughters are starting to do a tad better in the meta so i think michael just needs to expand the collection and get some more games with them under his belt

Mike interestingly enough almost all of our army's that match we did a very similar paint scheme... did hallowed knights stormcast . Did turquoise themed DoK. Our KO match. And heck even our tzeentch are somewhat similar.. only army not painted almost identical is our cities...( so close to being paint pals falling just short.) LOL I guess my fyreslayers match your guys too. But almost everybody's fyreslayers match..lol I am curious for my own sake... what are currently both of your guys favorite army's right now??? I have been using my DoK as I just got my custom terrian table built for them. But my overall favorite is probably good old stormcast. Also yet another enjoyable battle report I get to watch.. as always keep up the great work.. you guys are my favorite to watch.. and I am always recommending your guys channel to any newcomers in my local community!

David and I each play like 10 plus armies so a favorite is hard to pick, David is really into his Ogor Maw Tribes right now. My personal favorite (even if i dont think they are in the best place) is my sylvaneth. Are you looking forward to the new cities release or did alot of your collection get squatted?

Archaon could have used monstrous action to take that last wound on Mortahi, assuming they were in range. You don’t have to be in combat to use it.

I think in this ghb of a wizard perils its always a primal miscast whether they used primal dice or not

Primal mistcast only happen if using a primal dice "When a primal magic dice modifies a casting roll, if two or more of the dice in the casting roll and primal magic dice are 1s, the caster suffers a primal miscast instead of a miscast" hope this clears things up

On the bottom of the battleround 3 Archaon could have used filth spewer to try and assassinate Shadow Queen. I mean he would have only rolled 1d6 but there is a chance.

Great battlereport as always guys! David, you keep mentioning that the Chaos Knights get a +1 to charge. They don't, unless you give them the Slaanesh mark. The musician changes one of the dice from a charge roll into a 4, the banner gives +1 to their bravery characteristic. Edit: Why don't you guys show the complete lists in the beginning? You show a list of all the unit's anyway, why not include all their enhancements/weapon choices?

Im speaking for david here but i am almost certain he gave them the slaanesh mark mostly for that sweet run and charge command. Funny you should ask about a more complete list, we are currently editing upcoming videos and looking at adding that to our army breakdown. We are always looking for ways to make our content better we we appreciate these kinds of constructive comments.

Concerning the Knights, David mentions they have the Tzeentch banner for the 4+ ward against shooting, meaning they should be marked Tzeentch. Not that the +1 to charge really mattered this battle, but always good to keep in mind for the next one. Keep these reports coming, they are great! :)

I must have missed an update, why are you starting with 2/3 cp at the beginning of the battle round?

In the latest generals handbook, the person taking 1st turn receives 1cp +1 for having their general on the battlefield. The person taking second turn receives 2 cp +1 for having their general on the battlefield. The person going second can also use "Andtorian Focus" to give an additional cp to a non wizard hero or grant a wizard hero an additional cast and unbind for the turn. All of these rules are the latest rules which can be found in General's Handbook 2023-24

@@canadaborn1620 the current DOK collection we have is fairly limited so we cant do alot of variations in lists. DOK had the ability to win but with limited objectives and getting pinned by the big guy early on it made for a rough game for the Daughters

Morathi must be one of the worst nigthmare for Archeon, all that damage potential wasted on a 3 damage cap is terrible.

Who do I cheer for here? The most boring Gary Stu villain ever written(Archaon) or the most generically powerful army to bring with Morathi Khaine and her bow-snakes? When in doubt, err on the side of three-headed dragon accompanied by models with the coolest armor in AoS. Go Archaon. The redeploy by the Chaos Warriors resulting in a 6 and preventing the Shadow Queen's charge with Mindrazor, I think, won the game for Slaves, even if Archaon was tied up in combat only doing 3 damage a turn. But in all honesty, Archaon's main strength isn't sheer damage. It is the control he provides, and he fulfilled his role as expected, the highlight being the 5 Bravery roll against the 20 models he fought. Great match, gentlemen, and I'll rendezvous with you at the next battlefield.

Michael doesnt have any fighty snakes in the collections. DOK is due to get a channel expansion soon but we are trying to get all the factions represented on the channel first before expanding current collections.
