It's been inspiring seeing your journey from a "mere" top-tier drummer to an absolute powerhouse over the years. When you reach a certain level I see many drummers kind of relax, and stop progressing, but not you?!! You just get better and it's tangible.

Thank you so much Dave, I think it has a lot to do with routine and indeed being relaxed when recording/shooting video. That helps me a lot focussing on musicality, sound & "working" with the sound/instrument that I am using. Thanks for keeping up with the channel & kind regards!

I am wearing a pair of customized earplugs with 15dB Filters, which are actually transparent :-D kind regards!

they sound nice, but imo it is annoying when cymbals have very low sustain like these ones, no for me but very nice drumming and sound from under your sticks mam :)

Although I wouldn't use the Elegant cymbals in every musical genre probably, I love their short sustain sound for certain situations (but that's a matter of individual taste for sure). Absolute killer articulation! Love your style of drumming. I too have a red Sonor vintage series drum set that sounds amazing. Do you have any cymbal recommendations for worship/contemporary Christian music?

Was this a video an example of drums or cymbals as the title suggested. I didn't hear the cymbals much, mostly drums.

Hi Johann, actually there’s a solo cymbal passage from 0:34 onwards. Also it’ll be helpful to monitor with a stereo audio system or headphones rather than with a smartphone, as the overhead signals are stereo & you’ll basically lose half of the sound info & stereo image listening in mono.
