A topper since his Cadet days with an outstanding performance in every rank, there is no way that anyone associated with Gen Dogra would view him as a failure for not making it to the next rank and higher levels of command, which he was eminently qualified to attain. The steep pyramid and procedural anomalies have resulted in many a deserving Officer being overlooked to the detriment of the organization. However, the understandable personal disappointment and resultant soul searching spurred him to introspect, look inwards, attempt and conquer frontiers that would daunt fit persons decades younger in age. A most inspiring mental, physical and spiritual achievement that will motivate people of all age groups to chase away personal demons and become better versions of themselves. Kudos to the General
