We just finished this scenario: 2 players playing 2-handed. I feel having 4 characters makes up for the increased enemy health, harder checks, and faster timers because you can do so much each round. Loving this game. Jonai, Matajam, Drenosh, Lunara is our party.

Cheers lads. Our play was just as close but, again, felt like we didn't nearly get enough stuff as you did. We never got the spear nor were able to take out the Hive Mother or any of the Lumen demons. I wonder if despite the health scaling and time scaling for more players, playing with only 2 characters disadvantages you somehow. You just can't be everywhere quite as often. And of course, the less you gain in this scenario, the less you have to begin with the next time... still, an awesome game experience and always a great time to view you playing. Now, if only your mates were as fair as sharing that loot, Paul! 😅

Great videos guys. As a first time fantasy board game player it would have been absolutely impossible for me to learn this game without these videos, even I play them in computer. Now all my family is in and addicted. We play together every weekend and they do not know spoilers. Hopefully after part 5 I am fully skilled game leader.

47:26 important to remember that spawned enemies do not attack in the round they are spawned. So even if this skitterer color was going to attack this round this one wouldn't

wow when he decided to go down the hole the 2nd time with matajam, I've never screamed at youtube so much in my life. He's gonna disable the red wall next turn. You need to search the rubble for the last runic plate.. worst mistake ever. I'm loving watching these. but Paul you should've swayed him to do the rubble searcing, I know you played it last night so you didn't want to sway his decision. but you should've.. Either way , awesome videos. The comments about mistakes and editing is perfect. you did this game amazingly.

@@GamingRulesVideosIt shows, absolutely spot on editing! I yelled at youtube in this part as well, but its a lot easier to strategize when not having to actually run the game and process the rules. Plus, less than optimal decisions sometimes make for better drama!

This is excellent content, we have just started the campaign with a friend group and finished tutorial 3 last week. I have watched your videos afterwards to see if we understood everything correctly. It is a lot of things to remember, I think we completely forgot the obstructed aim in this scenario. At 1:15:57 the critterer should take one damage since it entered an area with a blood drop, right? But as I said, a lot of things to remember! We didn't actually kill the hive mother, but just ran inside the castle and left it outside. Just and just got scenario success. Can't wait to play more!

Enemies don't take damage for the blood drops. Only allies.

I think on Round 6 Paul, the Jonai, didn't do the free manouver to recover some health.

Also, at Round 11 when Matajam moved through L taking possible dmg there was a route from K to P that is only 1 movement point, this means he could get to the digging site on that round...

So in story card N you only get +10 success once when you remove story card Q from play. And you don’t get +10 success to every roll after removing story card Q?

Good game but amounts of tokens is overwhelming... you dont really need all those tokens... headache setup every time! Still cool game but Kings of Ruin better in my opinion

This idiot wastes a turn getting the leaf plate after he was told it wasn’t needed then immediately tries to move to the door for the moon plate. WTF.

Please could you be a bit more polite with your posts. That "idiot" you refer to is either myself, or one of my friends who took their time to create this video for you to watch. Also, the game has achievements in it. You don't know what those achievements are until the end, but we suspected that one of them was to collect all the plates. That was the reason we did it.

I find it comforting that these are fellow human beings who are not perfect all the time. I often struggle with rules even though I love learning rules and generally think I am a rather bright person. As I usually play solo nobody ever catches though 😅. A huge thank you to Paul and his friends for providing us with these amazing tutorials!
