I can't understand why any one has to criticize the praise songs. It's all in honor of our God. He hasn't had any complaints that I'm aware of. West Angeles has always been on the cutting edge of music in my life time. From amazing choral selections of the 70's to the modern praise and worship of today, there has always been a place for the old traditional songs that brought us through. God has always been at the center. Maybe that's why God continues to bless Bishop Blake and the church.

Then it's time you found a church that does! When I see videos like this, and hear great music like this, I want to get up and shout and dance for the Lord. But when I see men singing to the Lord with long hair, as in this video, it's a big let down for me! 1 Corinthians 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? Please don't get mad at me for saying it, because I didn't! The Bible says it, and you know, if the Bible says it, it's the truth, unless you don't believe what the Bible says!

Even tho its the same bass line, chord progressions and meloldy line I have been hearing over 40 years, its the pure unadulterated corporate praise to God and the warm feeling I receive is what keeps its newness and freshness!

Well, worship is first and foremost an attitude towards God--an attitude that you can only have as a result of the indwelling of His Spirit; and you can only receive His Spirit if you are in Christ, who is the Way, the TRUTH, & the Life . There are also acts of worship that reflects an attitude of worship, like bowing down postrate before the Lord or obeying God's Word. Worship is not necessarily the same as praise, which is But, naturally, if you worship God, you'll praise Him.

I've often wondered how this would sound if the bass player used a slap bass technique on this medley. Along with with an eight bar horn break between each song.

Much of black gospel music just offers declarations of what God has done or what he is capable of doing... Very little of this music actually offers up Praise and worship directly to God, so does not open the presence of God ... God inhabits the praises of his people! Praise to Him, activates his presence...The bottom line, God is looking for worshipers that worship in Spirit and truth...
@Noble_016 жыл бұрын
reinwitgsus Declaring what GOD can do and is capable of doing is giving praises to GOD. That is literally what worship is. Thanking him for what he has done but above all just for who he is. Acknowledging him as powerful and almighty is worship and singing praises and thanking him.
