Thank you so much for this video, it was so helpful! I do just have a quick question though. I’m a 15 year old actress, and I’ve had experience on my own already (acting classes, student films, short films, theater) and I feel ready to get an agent and/or manager and finally move onto bigger things. Since I’m a minor, do you recommend getting an agent or a manager first? Or possibly both? In case it matters, I’m looking to pursue film/TV. Thank you in advance!

Start with an agent. An agent will help you find work. You only need a manager when you are busy and need someone to help you organize your auditions and gigs and maybe help you find better roles. Get an agent first and work on submitting for as many projects as you can. When hopefully you get so much work that you can’t handle the details, that’s when you get a manager.

I haven't really heard the term casting manager. It is either another way of referring to a casting director, someone who manages the casting of a large project or who works with the casting director to manage all the pieces. Or it could refer to a talent manager. Someone who an actor hires to help them book projects and manage their schedules as explained in this video. But I don't know if it's actually a real role. I could be wrong.
