You know yesterday I heard the most awe inspiring thing on some crime show it was “ I am not the ultimate judge of me”. To know someone can know us, like they say time only knows, I don’t think god is this tangible being, but for someone, something to know us better then we know our selfs, to root for the better of us, so much that it never ties us down to our darker periods of thought and deed. Oh what a blessing, oh what a thing worthy to pass on. I don’t think we can truly know god and his ways in this life, the sins of the flesh it’s greed and its material wants hold our thinking to much on it own ways, but we can be molded in spirit. With its aspiration far of eye from our earthly desire and reality, to its own heavens. May our spirits live long after our mortal bodies have been held down, may we reach the peace the pass all understanding, and may we do it together being the guiding lights of our neighbor, just as in our times of need we are not alone.

Yes, as stated by you: "It's our solidarity with our brothers & sisters in the Church that allows us to see & experience the Risen Lord". Sadly, the local Roman Catholic churches in many places lack this 'solidarity & fellowship' among people in church (unlike most Protestant churches), so we Catholics 'compensate' by giving all our attention to the Eucharist as a way of 'seeing & experiencing the Lord', but ignoring our brothers & sisters!

Indeed, there's a kind of dichotomy in Christianity: Our sin led to Christ becoming our great savior, kind of like the Felix Culpa in the Exultet. And, yes, Christ has great power to break through locked doors and hearts tinged by fear to bring a surpassing sense of peace. Let us rejoice and keep up the Alleluias.

I think that his doubt was also increased by the attitude of the other disciples, because instead of going out, they were still with the doors locked. Perhaps Thomas told them: How can you tell me that Jesus is alive and yet you are locked in here with fear? That is not consistent with what you said, therefore I cannot believe you.

The description of Thomas, whose name means twin, struck me in a way regardinghuman nature. I feel that everyone has both a better nature and a lesser nature. And at first it's Thomas lesser nature that is directing the narrative.
