I will never stop trusting in Jesus even as I’m still struggling putting groceries in the refrigerator, and paying bills. I’m a single mother. Like many others, I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. I’m waitressing but not making nearly enough to make ends meet. My husband is in heaven with God. I’m all alone. No family nor friends. Both of my sons are autistic, and non verbal so they require a lot from me. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. Im so tired and I want to give up. BUT I HAVE FAITH GOD WILL PROVIDE. He has this far. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE. Faith over fear!

It was during my darkest period in my life I knew how much God loved me, and I fell in love with Him. I felt His love, peace, and joy and have that confidence in Him. God is always with us. We just have to surrender ourselves to Him, open our hearts, and trust Him. Our Lord loves and cares for us much more than we can comprehend it. We thank you, Lord, and praise your Holy Name forever and ever.

Simple and profound like Jesus in the gospel. God's love makes us lovable. This is the logic of Jesus - it is a logic that goes beyond logic: not the logic of the mind but the logic of the heart. (Msgr. Alex Rebello - 81 years serving in retirement in a parish)

ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: God loves us not because we have merited it or are worthy of it; rather, God’s love for us is freely given and unearned, surpassing all we could ever hope for or imagine. God loves you all, without distinction, without limit. He loves those of you who are elderly, who feel the burden of the years. He loves those of you who are sick, those of you who are suffering from AIDS and from AIDS-related diseases. He loves the relatives and friends of the sick and those who care for them. He loves us all with an unconditional and everlasting love.

Spent my whole 26 years of life searching for truth. Found Satan first, realized if he was real, then God must be. Abandoned all my ruinous ways, still struggle, but I never had a very heartfelt father. So I gave it all to God like I had always longed to with my Earthly one. My Father in heaven has given it 10 fold back. Shalom whew, he is like a heart beating, waves gently rolling to the shores of a soft beach. At the end of that journey God the greatest almighty Father showed me His Son. My whole life searching for things to fill it up with. At the end of it all was Christ waiting for me. He is my greatest treasure, I try to give Him to anyone willing to accept Him.

ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA: “O eternal beauty! O eternal goodness! O eternal mercy! O crazy lover! You have need of your creature? It seems so to me, for you act as if you could not live without her. Why are you so crazy? Because you have fallen in love with what you have made! You are pleased and delighted over her, as if you were drunk with desire for her salvation. There is a beautiful story of when God was creating the world. Michael the Archangel was with him, and marveled at all that God was doing. So God said to him, Michael, I want to show you the future, and how things will go. So God showed him all that would happen over the ages, up to when He would go in the form of Jesus to die to redeem all His people. By this time Michael was weeping, and he asked God "Why, if all you have done will be so destroyed that you will have to offer yourself as a sacrifice to save it all? " And God answered, "Michael, If I didn't it would not be love ".

Bishop Barron, I left your homily today. But it hit so close to home and it breaks my heart. In 2016 my mother passed away, my dad had already passed away in 2009. We sold the family home last year. I have two younger brothers. Before my dad passed away, he specifically told me that he did not want the youngest brother to receive any inheritance from him or my mom. He has been struggling with drugs since returning from the first Gulf war many years ago. Over the past 30 years, I personally have housed him, giving him money, helped him get some jobs, looked for resources through the VA that would help him. He has been in and out of the veterans homeless shelter many times. About three and a half years before I sold the house last year, he asked me if he could stay with me for 3 weeks, until he could get back in to the homeless shelter for veterans. 3 weeks turned into three and a half years. He told my car, I found out he was selling drugs out of my home, and the list goes on and on. My other brother and I decided after the house had sold, to give him $20,000. It was to go to a new car, that was reliable, and the rest would go into a savings account in case of an emergency. He swore he would do this. I moved into a 55 and older active senior apartment community. I got a two bedroom two bath. He insisted that he come live with me. But I would not have it. I had finally had enough I couldn't handle him anymore. We gave him the $20,000 in May, by July it was all gone, and he called my other brother and asked for $2,000 because the clunker of a car he bought was in the shop. My brother graciously gave him the $2,000 and got the car out of the mechanics for him. My younger brother has said that my mother told him that she wanted him to have a third of everything. My mother had Alzheimer's she was in no position to say what she wanted at that time. When my dad was still alive, and she was a bright mind, they both expressed to me as the executor of their will that he was to get nothing, unless he was living in his own place he had a car he had a job and was self-sufficient. That has never happened. Last september, a year ago, he called me and told me that I was the most evil person in the world, how could I let him be homeless. We have not spoken a year. It has broken my heart. But, my health is not in the best situation, and stress is a major factor for throwing me into a severe flare-up. We don't talk we haven't seen each other there are no family gatherings anymore. I pray everyday, multiple times a day, that he will be healed, that he will find his way to god, and he will get his self together, and that our family can be healed and brought back together. But he is 56 years old, he's been living this way since he was in his early twenties, I don't have a lot of faith that that is going to happen in my lifetime. But on the other hand I know that God is the god of the impossible, he can make this happen. I read today's Gospel, and I have to think, am I supposed to go find him bring him back here, let him live with me, with his dog, and support him? Immediately I think, I can't do that. The beautiful community that I live in is also a low income tax exempt property. Which means that if he moves in with me we have to declare his VA disability money that he gets every month, that would kick me out of this community. So this scripture reading today truly hugs at my heart I just don't know what to do. Or rather I know what to do, but it is at what God wants me to do. I ask for your prayers. God bless you and your ministry. ❤️🙏

Your upset mind and heart is known by God, your brother’s struggle is known by God. Don’t give up, look at Jesus and trust in Him. Who promised ‘I will go before you always’? Seek His counsel, and give thanks. Your cross is heavy and Jesus will help you, He will.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. We are not supposed to help others live an immoral life. Your brother is simply trying to manipulate you into doing what he wants. That's not what God asks from you. I had an abusive marriage where I felt that I had to forgive anything and everything but then I realized that the more I forgave, the worse my then husband treated me because all his evil deeds never met resistance and he came to the conclusion that it was an acceptable behavior, and I was helping him to be the way he was. God cannot ask from you to help someone to persist in evil doing. Love is about forgiving if the person repents and changes. If not, this is the tragedy of the human freedom.

@@kathymullen6496 ; I agree with you fully , under no circumstances take him back and also in regards to this gospel reading , it is important to take it in the right context. Remember the story in the Gospel where Christ had compassion on the woman caught in the act of adultery and the religious leaders wanted her to be stoned to death. Christ forgave her and did not condemn her but He gave her a wise suggestion " you may go but from now on AVOID THIS SIN. God helps those who help themselves and what we sow so shall we reap . Your brother has sowed and he excepts you to reap the consequences . Kathy you have done more than can be expected from any good and compassionate person and for him to say you are an evil person is so so wrong. So not for one moment , Kathy , should you feel any pang of conscience that you are in the wrong .

The thing I compare it to to help me understand is how much I love my children. I love them so much that nothing they ever did could make me stop loving them and I just want to be with them and close to their heart all the time. I delight when they talk to me and share their happiness or even sadness with me. I love when they sing off-key. I love watching them figure out difficult tasks and to see the little light from their eyes. I love how sweet and vulnerable they are and I feel a fierce need to protect them. I imagine that is a tiny semblance of how much God loves me and it makes me feel nice to know He does feel that way about me even though I fall short so much ❤️

Ive converted to Catholicism after my first daughter was born, and despite my tendency to scrupulosity, being a father really gave me a deep insight on how God the Father loves. There is nothing a daughter or a son can do to deserve being loved by their father. Love and forgiveness are always already there for them, from the beginning and forever. They dont have to make me proud in exchange for love. You only begin to understand Gods love when you love. You only understand Christ's cross when you're willing to die for someone out of love. Its not theory, its practice.

One reason the Bible is the revealed word of God is, as Bishop Barron puts it, its craziness. The psalmist in Psalm 139 describes God's way as "strange and wonderful." If the Bible's various writers were to have been left to their own devices they would not have come up with stories like the Prodigal Son, the Lost Sheep, or the Lost Coin.

Look around you and realize how many blessings you have, even if you may not have all you want, you have all you need. You can’t outdo His generosity. As a convert to Christianity and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I've come to better understand how my own church could support political propositions against same sex marriage through your criticism of President Biden's religious duality. I've experienced the Holy Ghost testify to me of the truthfulness of your sermons. Thank you for your grace and commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I'm also a philosophy major at Brigham Young University. I'm thinking about getting a graduate degree in religious studies. Have you read any literature from Terry L. Givens? I've recently met with him and I'm sure we'd love to have you at BYU. I would love to have an interfaith dialogue with you on our campus or online. I'm craving that kind of discourse and I've loved how you've worked hard to spread the gospel in your own capacity. I would accept any topic you wish to discuss.

Once, while I was running and hiking in the hottest time of the year, going too far for the amount of water that I had brought, I became overheated or hyperthermic. Being il-prepared, this was a metaphor for having been too long away from prayer and the practice of one's faith. This was not the first time I experienced hyperthermia. I lost my sight the second time in my life. Everything went dark and I saw nothing but blackness. Being physically blind was the result of being overheated, as if a warning for the effect of not having enough oil in my lamp during that period of time. I crouched down thinking that the blood pressure was too low and fluids couldn't sufficiently reach the brain. So, shortly I recovered my vision. The act of crouching down could be a work of humility, which leads to renewed vision, a non-essential function. I looked for shade as I was where the ground area was completely exposed. This is like the effect of sin which exposes us to the heat that is near the flames of hell. I spotted a small bush where I again crouched to cool off in the shade of the bush. The bush could represent Jesus Christ and the shadow like His protection from the effects of my overexposure. Overexposure is like the effect of being too long away from the life of devoted prayer and overexposed to the influence of the evil in the world. My crouching was humbling myself in the shadow of The Lord similar to those who hoped the shadow of Christ would fall on them when He passed by that they might be healed. Once I felt more confidence that I could walk out, I began making my way out of the heat slowly and to where I might find water. Not long after, an Angel appears in the person of a City Police Officer driving in my direction in his patrol car on the foot trail. Imagine my surprise and I actually thought I might be seeing an angel. He gave me water from his trunk when I asked if he had any water. By then, I had already started walking slowly out of the recreational area toward my car in the parking lot. Many of us, at times, are wandering far from a life centered on the Word of God which overshadows evil. The love of God provides the water of life, eternal life giving water as Jesus said to the woman at the well. Jesus Himself said, God The Father promised Him that none of the ones given to The Son by The Father would be lost. Thank God for each time someone who was lost has now been found.

I got chills of truth when you quoted Saint Catherine of Sienna. Pazzo d’amore indeed. This whole homily brought tears to my eyes. Why do we ignore emotion and focus on logic? In our obsession with order and control over the chaos of love, we miss the point of God’s love. Yet what happens to us when we fall in love, we become sick with love, our logic deserts us. Why is this so uncomfortable for us when it’s Gods daily experience? “Your ways are not my ways.” From the beautiful book of Isaiah. What I can confirm for artists and anyone else who creates anything is that the love one has for each created thing comes from God. Often when I pick up my brushes and paint something beyond my ability, the glory must go to God. After all, He created the hands holding those brushes. I can’t tell you all how many times I’ve painted and not felt like it was me doing the work, but the Holy Spirit. Thank you Bishop Barron. I needed this today. Blessings to you and to the whole world!

I seem to be fighting the devil more everyday. I have to say it is my duty and I gladly take that responsibility.
