Terrigen doesn't kill people, it never has. The Diviners killed non-inhuman people who touched them or the metal that bled into the crystals that Jiaying grew from them.
@doomse1503 ай бұрын
I know that that's the way things were established, but based on that, I don't quite understand what killed Trip in the diviner room, because he very explicitly crushed the crystals and not the casing.
@DD-pi1ks3 ай бұрын

Yes. Jiaying explained that they melted down Diviners in order to get to the Terrigen crystals inside, but they weren't able to prevent the Diviner metal from being mixed with the crystal. Since the Diviner metal was not lethal to Inhumans, they didn't really try very hard to come up with a way to separate the metal from the crystals they had. But pure Terrigen, from another source, does not have the Diviner metal embedded in it. (Or you can just dissolve Terrigen in salt water to separate it out. But ssshhhh, let's not look too closely at that.) Jiaying's explanation was given very quickly, and it was delivered in the moments before Gonzalez was killed, so people remember Gonzalez dying but not the explanation about the crystals.
@doomse1503 ай бұрын
@@DD-pi1ks That's fair. I though that with the case folding itself flat, the crystal bursting shouldn't damage it, but I can see how that doesn't necessarily make sense.

I always forget how badass the Ward fight scenes are, because they seem so natural to him. A family friendly show that aired on ABC when it did isn't supposed to have sequences that good. The Fitzsimmons development here is what i always remember but on rewatching this, I bet they told the guy playing Ward to just be as badass as possible here as this is peak Ward. Even his one-liners are great.

This one and the next 2 are some of my favorites in the series. Really shows how good they've gotten at pairing characters who play off each other well for 5 tangentially-related concurrent plotlines. Lots of Hydra history revealed, including the thing they're always saying 'Heil' to.

The Fitz Simmons scene was a microcosm of all of the things that make this show so good. There was the very obvious way they could have taken this story, with Fitz being jealous and sabotaging any attempt to bring Will home. But this was both much more interesting and true to the characters. Same with the May/Lincoln scene. It could have zigged, but they zagged. Along with never letting mysteries drag out too long, the ability to successfully bring together multiple seemingly unrelated plotlines together for each seasons' finale, and actors that bring it each and every week, I think Agents of SHIELD is IMHO, very underrated. Its grown to be my favourite Marvel property, Agent Coulson my favourite Marvel character, and its one of my favourite TV shows of all time.

*_Ward Indeed became a great vilain: That scene on the plane always makes me wish we could see a James Bond vs. Grant Ward show off! (My money's on WARD!)_* *_The addition of Powers Boothe (RIP) as Gideon Malick, the Head of HYDRA, was a masterful acquisition for the show: The link back to the first The Avengers movie and the World Council was already a wonderful MCU link, but Boothe's powerful voice and his acting really helped to create a great "Vilain in the Shadows". Also love how the HYDRA-lore was pushed back to being ancient, far older than Red Skull; and that the latter was but one fanatic member of HYDRA who basically went rogue and tried to achieve HYDRA's dream of world domination without bringing back the ancient inhuman. Gave the organization so much more depth!_* 29:13 - 😳... 🤫 *_Hold that thought!_* 😅

Think about it. There are sacrifices being sent over to this Inhuman through the portal, and so far we know the Inhuman can possess, or even assume the victims' corpses. For example, we saw the corpse of a NASA astronaut in one of the sandstorms Jemma was running from in episode 5 I think. That was the Inhuman possessing the corpse.. They sent Inhumans through the portal who never came back.
@notavailable85143 ай бұрын
Quick amendment... If it's a sacrifice to the Inhuman on Maveth, or it's possessing the body of whoever is sent, the sacrifice sent through the portal has to be human, not Inhuman. Slight spoiler... The Inhuman on Maveth can't assume the corpse of, specifically, inhuman bodies.
