I find it funny how many people are on here to give advice! It’s not his first rodeo. He wears many layers. Some humans are dramatically more adapted to cold conditions through exposure to such conditions. He focuses on conservation of energy. He is well provisioned. He is well equipped for the challenge he has set for himself.

Worry is natural for people who are concerned. It's no different from saying someone driving a motorcycle fast without a helmet and wondering why they aren't wearing a helmet. It's always assumed that that person may be a professional but it only takes one mistake to kill you no matter how confident You Think You Are

@@PaddyMacWorld Don't underestimate anyone's advice. Just the other day, a Finnish KZbinr camper froze to death. How? Is it funny? Nature, especially the cold, is no joke. This young man is also very careless and he is not well equipped at all. you'll understand when it happens to him too.

Building a rock wall behind the fire would help reflect heat into the shelter.

No it does not. The stones will absorb the heat and release it later when the fire has died out. They reflect nothing.

Beautiful video with beautiful scenery and the water lapping against the shore. The biggest challenges I face is leaving my bedroom window open a couple inches at night in the winter. I like the fresh, cold air and don’t like to be too hot in bed. The building I live in must be well insulated because all the years I ‘ve lived here I’ve rarely used the heat. With in a couple years I will be moving to another apartment that is close to the shore and hopefully I’m close enough to hear it at night and smell the sea as well. I love to be near the water.

I had to survive in a similar environment ages ago for three weeks with only a knife, no matches or lighter, no food, etc. I built a solid shelter over time, once I got fire I never let it go out and built comfortable warm bedding from grass. Eventually my shelter was mostly stone, when it warmed from the constant fire it was nice. Hunting for a reliable food source was the most difficult. I couldn’t catch fish so I relied on small mammals. It’s an art form to survive environments like these long term. Positive mindset and constantly staying busy without overly exhausting yourself is the way to survive.

Good vid. Sure is much colder by the water. Need a few pine boughs to keep the snow directly off. Wool is critical. Important to do exercise before laying down at5 night. Get the body heat up. Enjoyed the camp. A cool damp one. Nothing compared to what's coming. Time for a dip. All good from east Kentucky USA. Good job on the narration.

Do you have critical thinking skills or any sense of logic in your brain, genuinely what are you even talking about, just think about what you said it honestly makes me disappointed someone could be so ignorant, in what world would it make sense to bring dry reeds to a remote island in the dead of winter when he is building an entire shelter and sleeping there???????
@alptorumtay2658
@alptorumtay2658 19 күн бұрын
To add to this, if your attention span was longer than around 5 minutes, you would have seen the mass amounts of reeds collected and used on top of his shelter, which would have been impossible to bring inside of that little kayak. And the funniest part! your brain is so fried that you couldn't even take a quick glance at the thumbnail of the video, which would've shown you the whole roof made out of reeds, develop some logical thinking bud youre like 60
