A Poem for you : kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6Spo4isd61qf8U In the olde days in Britain, The drystone wallers spent the summer months, out on the moors, building walls to keep the sheep in. They often spent months, camping up on the moors, eating mostly sheep, and provisions their families brought up to them from the villages below. These walls still criss-cross the moors... This Tradition dates back to the Neolithic, And the remains of their shelters are still there today

You inspired me to make my first overnight in the wild this summer. I found a nice hill with a lot of large rocks at a local forest and built a lean-to with stones and dead wood. I made a smoky fire to keep most of the mosquitoes away, and cooked a slab of beef on the rocks as you did. It was fun, but the noises at night were a bit unnerving. Coyotes were howling from the other side of the hill. But in the end, it was a great adventure. I have since hiked by there a couple of times and it seems that someone else had used the campsite, and even improved on the design to make it more waterproof against the rain. Keep up the great content. Your narrations are very clear and concise. You have a remarkable grasp of English.

You need three to four dm of very thin pine branches to isolate from the cold ground. They need be a lot of green pine needles on the branches. A smart place to build your base is away from open areas if not you will have the wind to fight with.

It seems that every outdoor survival book I've read...says not to use rocks from water when you make a fire surround. I grant you that I am not a woodsman, just quoting the books.
@NtooShock2 ай бұрын
There’s a reason for it. Wet rocks hold moisture and heating them can cause them to burst & crack, launching pieces which then can cause injuries.

Hi Lukas. I am watching your video and thank you for the narration. I like to hear your voice. Please help me, I am confused. Eight days ago in a previous video you were wearing shorts, but this video it’s snowing! Are the temperatures that different where you live? Also, I am like you about eating rare/raw beef. I love it!! I believe I got that trait from my father, as that was his way too. I will finish watching your video now, as I am only halfway through. I hope you can answer my question. Thank you, Friend.😊
