One thing im glad to say BHVR had gottten right is how traps look in the game. Compared to Junkrats in overwatch always fucking clipping into the ground and me not being able to see the tiny teeth sticking up while aiming, at least all these traps seem to properly pop up and stay visible

I tried two ultra rare add-ons on trapper once. It was bloody coil and this other add on that opened up random traps throughout the map every 30 seconds. I didn't even need to touch my traps because survivors were constantly injuring themselves lmao

With the ultra rare add on use the add on with it that makes it so when a survivor releases themselves they get put into dying state. So basically if someone helps them they get injured & if they break out themselves they get into dying.

That first match had a wasted opportunity on end-game where you could put a trap on each exit gate and that last survivor would have to disarm it and injure themselves. On second match, you could have put a trap on top of stairs in Thomson house, it's the only way up so someone would have to injure themselves to get to the gen. Bloody Coils have a lot of potential in strategic planning but not a lot of maps allow that.

If Trapper got a rework, I wish he'd have a secondary ability where he stamps the ground and after a few seconds, all his traps open. You could make it only usable once or twice a match, but it'd be so interesting and save so much time from replacing all his traps.

I don’t know how well it would go but I feel like bloody coil might me interesting with like tinkerer and/or dark devotion. Stealth builds tend to be really good at getting first hits by surprising them, but once a chase starts your stealth doesn’t matter too much. Now with bloody coil, people around the map are going to be injured more often, so you’re more likely to find, surprise, and quickly down someone who’s already injured. I would say tinkerer and thanatophobia would make this work. I would suggest nurses calling to surprise attack healing survivors, but as trapper, corrupt intervention and whisperers are just too good to pass up for any build. Yeah this build seems a little tough because now thana is your only gen slow perk, but hopefully corrupt and tinkerer are the only gen protection you need if you you can get enough pressure. I’m surprised to say this, but I may even consider removing whispers. Trappers usually run whispers so they know if someone’s close enough to possibly catch them setting a trap, but in this build you almost even WANT survivors to disarm your traps to get bloody coil value. Whispers can probably be replaced with nurses, pop, or ruin. Pop and ruin combo with tinkerer well, plus you can trap your ruin totem and force another person to injure them self with bloody coil

I feel like bloody coil would work best without sloppy because you want to encourage them to heal then to be injured by the traps later. So for chasing trapper, I'd put on a chase perk like brutal strength or enduring to get better results.

When i use Bloody Coil, with a bag, it works like a block. I place obvious traps to make paths more difficult and when they pop the first one they don't touch them after. This makes them work as blocks. I even double up traps for wider paths or for either side of a strong pallet that I expect Dead Hard. It's not OP or anything, just a different way to play and can be fun.

I don't generally run bloody coil without iri stone or honing stone (which I think is a better combo IMO). Otherwise, setting speed is the only other add that I think is worth combining with bloody coil. I tend to get the best bloody coil value when I use it as a chase and place add on instead of a prep and wait add on, because Bloody coil only has value if survivors are disarming traps and giving you a free hit. But since the first trap ate their pancreas, they'll take a hard pass on the disarm points and will avoid all traps the rest of the match unless absolutely necessary. And traps that are closing off strong loops are absolutely necessary for staying alive so now they're forced to continue donating organs and disarm traps... or Alt F4 since Trapper is obviously broken and should've been nerfed last decade. Now bloody coils gives you advantage of skipping the prep and setting traps as you chase. But in my personal play experience when flexing bloody coil trapper (that's not really I call him but the name I use requires context and .... see I've lost you already), it seemed that extra traps usually hurt my mid to late game because you will end up with having traps all over the map unless I made sure to grab the traps from the dead loops either during chase or after hanging a meat ornament. Iri stone is the only add on I would consider strong enough be an classified to be an ultra rare and that bloody coil needs a buff or rework to be considered ultra rare. Iri stone all by itself provides a powerful effect which can only be enhanced by another add on, but bloody coil requires the another add just to make it's power viable in the match. TL,DR:That's how I feel about bloody coils

Bloody coil could be a good base kit to trapper or 50 50 if they disarm it then either they don’t get hurt or the other they do get hurt instead of them following a trapper and setting off his traps like then that way the survivors would have to think before disarming one

Iridiscent stone is way better if you plan trapping up a key zone of the map. Survivors dismantle the traps and they get caught in the same one moments later without knowg wtf is happening. If the map is full of windows, woah mate you know it's gonna be one of those games so you can use an offer to the institute for example.

The other ultra rare i like to run as truly no set up. I might place 1 or 2 on the strongest vaults but thats it. Run it with tar bottle and all chase perks. Its fun. Not necessarily viable but fun

So thanataphobia encourages people to heal so remove the speed penalty but running this add on even by itself encourages people to not heal because they can just stay injured and disarm traps and essentially sort of negate your add on. So when you run both it puts them between a rock and a hard place. Do I heal and remove this stack of thanataphobia and end up needing to heal if I run across another trap thus wasting my time? Or do it just stay a 1 hit down so I can disarm traps at my leisure?
