I am like so terrified riding the subways now with these wacky homeless people. Glad my dad was a NYPD cop for 26 years but retired, but still it’s scary for me going into the city. I rather take the express bus more often. Hope you guys were ok 🙏🏻
@SuprToe8 ай бұрын
To be fair, we never felt physically threatened. If you listen to what he wants, he just wants me to leave him alone, just Iike I told him to leave LilyShine alone. We reached an understanding, albeit with more cursing that I would have liked. Kinda just felt like he wanted attention. And he got it and moved on. The encounter wasn't all that scary, and the city is not a scary place to me. It's not a comfortable place, though, so I can see where it might be tough for visitors and Long Islanders. Your dad dealt with the worst 5% of the city for years, so I'm sure he has stories.
@MTATransitFanner3248 ай бұрын
@@SuprToe I totally agree with you, but the only concern is that they should add more cops in certain stations cause mostly they act like erratically towards people and as a traveler, it’s just that no matter where I travel, there’s so many crazy people. After watching your video last night, you remind me of my dad saying be careful traveling on the subway. Hope this doesn’t happen again to you or to anyone (including myself. Again my dad had many stories about when he was working in the city as an NYPD cop and it’s a long story. Glad he’s retired, but still add more cops to the subway stations
@RealCrimsonPeach_TSFTWDTFTL8 ай бұрын
Okay, there are so many things wrong with that guy I don't even know where to begin. First of all, I'm pretty sure that the MTA doesn't allow smoking on their property. Second, staring at someone for a long time for no reason is very creepy, and it can make people uncomfortable. Third, the way he responded to you was totally inappropriate and unacceptable. And don't even get me started on the fact that he had the audacity to swear multiple times when your channel is supposed to be kid friendly. I'm glad you were able to defend yourself and your wife from him. Seriously, though, this guy is crazy, and I hope I don't see him on the subway. Other than that, I just wanna say that LilyShine is very pretty.

Contrary to popular sentiment, I think the open gangway cars will in fact deter this kind of behavior. Daylight is the best disinfectant. The more people who can see you being a bad person, the more likely you are to get in trouble for it. Without a captive audience, a lot of these types of people will feel less emboldened.

He approached me and started being aggressive and asking why I was staring at him. I confronted him back, and eventually some other person helped me which lead to the crazy individual to back down and leave the train. I had a similar experience on the Paris metro. I was riding the 5 line and some guy. I couldn’t tell what he was saying but he definitely was selling w*ed. He went to almost everyone in the car he went up and said something like. “Do you wanna buy my w*ed” something like that. Then he moved cars at gare de l’est and did it to other people. I recorded from the winds of the back. He saw me with the camera. He started banging on the window. At the next stop he switched cars and threatened me. It happened between gare de L’est I went to the other side of the train and I just waited til the doors opened. I got of at the next stop. Apparently he tried to chase me but another person who was a Good Samaritan DROPPED A FRICKING BASKETBALL SCREEN. I got on the next train. I also had a similar experience in San Francisco but it wasn’t as bad
