Morgott deserved to be Elden Lord, going by his history. Godfrey made the Omen Bairn for him. Godwyn most likely missed him and Mohg, or perhaps he didn't know they were down in the sewers, and Miquella wants to help those forsaken by the Golden Order. A noble and tragic man worthy of the Elden Throne.
