Agreed! In Season1 I always felt it was weird that nobody went for Bingos but instead left 1 square and did a billion other things. This season some players seem to agree with this and it really counters aggy's whole "setup and play lategame" style.

Yeah Aggy seems to be running S1 mindset and sees a square to counter a line and says "I'll counter that", then proceeds to do 2 other squares first

He's way to relaxed thinking he can get back to it 20 min later and block his opponent, like they probably have a plan, either forcing him to do the worst square while they go for majority under the guise of going for the bingo or they straight up just go for the bingo and win like we saw here. Also amazed how he didn't have the consumable only down to a T, is it something he's never practiced before or has it never been an issue during practice? You'd think with the amount of bingo runs he's done he should have all the early game squares practiced so he can contest them.

@@stavik96 Literally 15 minutes before the start of this game he had just lost to somebody else and it was a rough match too. He got sniped 5 or 6 times so he was pretty much already tilted before this one even began.

I'm here to watch Aggy. I'd rather watch him while he loses than watch any of the other players while they win. I'm pretty sure HE cares about his record this season, which hurts since I want him to do well for his own sake, but as far I'm concerned, Aggy has literally no competition when it comes to entertainment.

I guess if there's something to learn here, it's that BOFA can dodge throwables during the end of his lunge attack. It was always during the cooldown frames of the animation of that attack he kept spamming, while he was facing toward the player and sort of hunched over. Knowing that might allow for avoiding it in the future.

I think the lesson here is if Remembrance with Sorcery or Bows only is on the board, absolutely under no circumstances use Godrick for any other purpose. Godrick is pure bait if those are on the board.

I think it’s hard to make a strong generalization. It depends on the layout and other options on the board. If the race for claws was closer, Puppery could have locked herself out of it too. I think consumables only had a much bigger impact than bow only.

The alst 2 matches i feel weren't an issue with bad play in anyway like some radahn incidents have turned out to be. Just really bad luck with being a few seconds behind what the other person happens to also be doing on 50/50s or even 33/33/33s, or just weird glitches like eaten inputs, drops not registering when he lands on a platform, or stuff missing when it shouldn't. Luck just has not been kind lately

Right from the beginning of this season Aggy's been openly criticizing the rules of S2 as they make the game more luck based (which weapons you gonna find) than skill based (like it was in S1) and it's no where more apparent than this match. 5-6 checks till he finds the right bow. Sheesh. But at the same time, I gotta agree with Domo's outlook, too. I personally got tired of seeing BHF and uchi all the time in S1, so I do think this S2 wep rando mod was the good call, and I can't wait presonally for it to become public, so we can all play with it. With that said, one criticism that I have with the mod, that Aggy brought up in the commentary after the match, is that all other weapons get randomized to their categories: greatsword gets swaped with greatsword, medium shield with medium shield, yet all the bows and crossbows get lumped together? Kinda weird.

It is still way more skill based than luck based because both players are playing in the same seed. If anything I’d say the randomness makes it *more* skill based on average, because it forces players to think on their feet about things like which squares to prioritize based on the weapons they have, when/how often to do weapon checks, etc.

@@hobojoe9717 I actually agree with this take. We can clearly see that Aggy gets knowledge checked when he doesn't know where the tower in Weeping is... He spent so long hunting for that tower that he might have gotten the square as soon as somebody mentioned the Forest Lookout Tower if he had the knowledge. We've seen this before when he didn't know about the Halberd check on the battlefield too. Yes, luck does play a part, but game knowledge is part off what lost him this game.

That was unlucky :( It's hard to recover from a tilt like that. What would have happened if he had just decided to rush Morgott instead of pivoting back and forth? I think it would have been close. It looks like Aggy is a little too hesitant sometimes, it might be better to just stick a plan.

All the people screaming at him to go for Morgott really, really, really underestimates how long a commitment that square is with the amount of progress Aggy had. Between huge traversal, another GR, annoying bosses and finicky skips that square was at least 25 minutes from completion, and that's assuming all-first tries and no memes. Even if he had bee-lined it for Morgott, he would probably have been just entering Leyndell when Pup got her line (meaning 10 or so minutes behind), and that's assuming good luck with the second GR and DTS. Only half-way realistic path to victory was the Bow only block, and even that was a long-shot with Godrick dead, and not helped by terrible bow drops.

He then spent the next 30 minutes killing the last 2 Limgrave bosses, completing 2 tunnels or dungeons, getting sniped on Wormface, getting sniped on Altus Bosses, and getting sniped on Remembrance Bow. I'm not saying I know he would have won or not, but it would have been interesting to see how close it was if he did go for the Bingo instead of constantly pivoting. He could have done it. I love when Aggys plays in his practice matches, it just seems like today he was a bit tilted under pressure.

Could it be the long term sorcery game for Rando no hits kinda made him lose other combat touch a bit? Also I think this season with the new players you have to consider the threat of them committing to a single Bingo line no matter what (maybe except Bushy). I've seen many matches where a row or colum threat wasn't respected till it was too late, like the recent CBD vs Cata

Aggy is the most talented player (or certainly one of the top 2 or 3). I think some of the other players know this and so have focused much more on preparation, strategy, and study. Aggy's been able to depend on his talent advantage on the past, but that may not work anymore.

Honestly it talent and strategy weren’t a factor here. A better performance against BOFA woulda changed things but that was largely RNG. The big issue was the randomizer ruining the game. Like 20 minutes of this match was Aggy riding across the world doing weapon checks when we could have watched an epic battle with Radahn during that time. The game has turned from Bingo into a weapon spawn scavenger hunt.

@@dereklong2839 Havent watched this match yet so I can't say much about it, but I have felt repeatedly that the weapon randomizer has hurt bingo a lot. I know why they did it and it was interesting at first, but when you're talking about a competition there's still way to much RNG for it not to be considered luck. Yeah there's strategy in knowing where weapon drops are, when to go for them, and what's good. But it's far too easy for someone to pass a single check and have the other guy grab it and get a great weapon. I hope they find a different way to change it up for season 3

Awesome player, just got unlucky. But Maybe a bit too conservative on the purchases for the kukri. 40 was just barely enough even if things went well which they didn't cuz the hitbox glitched out unfortauntely. You'll do better next time :) Still fun to watch

Another rough loss for Aggy. His routing and decision making has been mostly fine, his execution is just letting him down at key moments. He lost the game to Bri that he should've comfortably won but choked on Radahn, and now this time losing the consumables only square swung this whole game. Tough season so far but I know our boy is gonna bounce back and return even stronger

Love these vids. I just wish he didn't rush so much. So many of these could be closer/better if he just slowed down and played more conservative. Like when he tried to kill that first boss with daggers. If he just took the time to get a few more daggers and not the bare minimum, he would have gotten that early 2-0 lead.

From the comments I've gathered lately on Aggy's trajectory, I'm witnessing the fall of a titan. The reason might be unclear, but facts make the truth difficult to ignore. At the end of the day, there will always be different kinds of people around: haters; people thay only want to follow a streamer due to their own personal success at the time; those unconditional followers, that would watch Aggy even if he was the noobest streamer, and then there's the general public that swings by in the most unfortunate of times and observes a descent spiraling out of control. Just to be clear: everyone experiences ups and downs, the important thing is the attitude said setbacks are approached with. Let's just wait to see how everything unfolds in the end.

Keep in mind this match was immediately after his match with Cata due to a schedule change, and he was pretty tilted from that one. He does tend to overthink his routing at times but he had already had a pretty bad game, on top of what happened with BOFA at the start of this one.

​@user-vx2vn8ww4yI think most of "what he has going on" is simply that he doesn't gel with the weapon rando format at all. He often gets stuck with some shitty unusable weapon, either due to bad RNG or just not feeling like he has time to waste on checks at any point. I also think the competition is more fierce this time - a lot of the other players are spending all their non-BB time practicing for BB, unlike season 1 where they mostly spent their off time on other games or other ER runs. And then this game in particular was just fucked - that early BoFA nonsense was pure jank that could've gotten anyone.
