since La Bartoli's made a name for herself specifically with this repertoire, I guess everybody who has a stab at it will forever be compared to her. Better than comparing and contrasting, let's just be glad these ladies have showed us all how fun Baroque really is and what a lively alternative it is for that mardy grand opera of the 19th century! PS: I think she's very sympa! She always puts a smile on my face.

superb performance, exciting,thrilling & mesmerising! simone rocks and is my all-time favourite singer. all negative criticism is superfluous as it is based on people's reaction on her looks instead of her brilliant mastering of coloratura arias including perfect control of every nuance and displaying every emotion the lyric and music has in it. simone rocks!

I respect her very much as an artist and her career is quite impressive. But i miss some kind of modesty in her preformance. Some of these ornaments are just over the top. She has such a wonderful voice and feeling for this music and she is powerful self made woman - nevertheless i can understand why people sometimes find her frithening...

In her style, Nina Hagen is also very "baroque", and the style of Kermes is as baroque as it was in the past. Remember Farinelli in this time, people went to theater to eat, make business and some other things. Artists had to be extremely good and efficient to fill being noticed. Entregada al 100%, y ademas bailando. Canta de una forma no muy clásica, es muy personal y aunque se le reconoce por sus rockeras interpretaciones y no por su voz "operistica" es una buena interprete que sabe hacer disfrutar a su publico y debe ser respetada. A mi me gusta observarla más que escucharla porque me resulta simpática y buena persona a diferencia de las Divas del canto que suelen ser mas antipáticas. en definitiva, Brava!!!
