Try pushing lock button 3 times on your key. For remote engine start. Works on my 2017 civic lx hatchback. Not sure about the sedan.

It doesn’t work for the sedan, it sounds like they disabled the feature for it. I can hear the switch open but it sounds like the relay closes back before completing the task of that makes sense.

Honestly. The only thing i really really don't like about my civic is the lack of a trunk handle. It is seriously such a dumb design choice. I didn't realize that until after the purchase of my car. If it was there you wouldn't have to worry about there being no power. I really don't understand it
