The movie is NOW a classic!! Big B won the national award for best actor for his role!! At the time it was a flop & people tore down the theaters because they thot BIG B's voice was DUBBED!! Snd they wanted the BACHCHAN VOICE!! The whole movie was redubbed with Amitabh's original voice but by that time it was too late... It's a GREAT MOVIE!! Big B in full form!!

Ppl don't really accept any experiment done by their favourite star and want them to continue be in the same box which originally made them love and become a huge fan.....the eye liner, his all white outfits, red & aggressive eyes, his body language was amazing ....

Saw the original version about 2 months ago and i really loved it, My first introduction to Agneepath was obviously the 2012 one so seeing how the original one was, ended up being a huge surprise for me 😊 PS Danny Dengzongpa fanboy right here 😂 he was one of the actors that introduced me to Bollywood with a movie named Raaj Mahal, Not many know that film but it was a huge part of my childhood!

Amitabhs father was Harivansh Rai 'Bacchan'. Bacchan was his pen name or nom de plume, meaning "merely a kid" In colloquial hindustani. But he dropped his original surname Rai, which like all Indian surnames, also gives information about someone's caste, from his name, and changed all his childrens' name too. So Amitabh Rai became Amitabh bacchan. Interestingly, abhishek bacchan went on to marry aishwarya rai, who then became aishwarya rai bacchan. So the surnames did a full circle.

I am not saying that be suited and oiled hair, but the power, sacrifice, decision making you know what I am saying about. That thing was visible in THE Agnipath. Yes it also had that songs and melodrama (Indian Vibes Lol) ae sala goli seene Mai maar and amitabh overacting . But despite all that I liked it This is my Indian godfather hahaha. TBH I am not into main stream Bollywood much, I like western movies more and low budget Indian movies, like phans Gaye re Obama, peepli live etc.

I have read many of his poems in my school textbooks. He wrote the poem titled agnipath (the path of fire) for this movie. It's quoted multiple times in the movie. Walking through fire is a big symbology in Indian myths, as Mother Sita was made to walk through fire to prove her "innocence" In the ramayana. It's the path of hardship, struggle and mayhem that is life, that a hero has to traverse through to become the hero. The contexts involved in the movie, the commentary on socio political situation in bombay back then, where youth from exploited poor shanties and desolate destitute villages took to a life of crime and saw this as their come uppance, and the infamous bombay underworld took roots. The phrase, bhai, which literally means brother,is widely synonymous with a gangster. This movie mentioned that for the first time.

When the movie first came out it was difficult getting used to the voice, but now that voice is part of the cult of this movie. This movie was loosely inspired by Scarface, as in the story is about revenge but they took certain scenes from Scarface and adapted them to this movie, for example the restaurant scene where Pacino goes "say goodbye to the bad guy'.. Equally well done in Agneepath.

The background music of agneepath was given by jean michael jarre which was one of the best of those days. One of the reasons the movie didnt do well at the box office that time was that the people couldnt accept the fact that amitabh changed his voice for the movie. Hi Jaby, Agneepath was inspired by the scarface. However, director and writer made the changes in the script as at that time amitabh bachchan was in his prime and makes though that people wont like him in a negative role (80's and 90's bollywood thing). so they made some changes like in angeepath bachchan is a sort of bad guy but refuses to enter the cocaine business and wouldn't also allow his bosses to do so. bacchan's character was also given a solid empathetic back story as to why his character desires the power so much. when movie was initially released, they kept a different sound for bachchan but movie didn't catch on so they decided to re-release the movie next week with the voice you heard of bachchan in the trailer. it also one of most iconic movies of Amitabh Bachchan and he also won a national award for this role.

Agneepath 2012 is the only Classic Remake that did justice to Original. I watched both but I love the Hrithiks version. Hrithik ,sanjay,priyanka,RishiKapoor,OmPuri,Sachin khedekar all the legendary actors with THE AJAY-ATUL Music. It is the best Grounded Bollywood Masala Movie with full package of Entertainment in the Era of AntiGravity Fight scene movies. The characters in the movies are Epic and made their Mark's. Hrithiks Vijay Chauhan, Sanjay's Kancha(best villain), Rishi Kapoor's Rauf Lala❤ All were Awesome. And the Songs are just❤❤👌🏻

Amitabh Bachchan's voice change was controversial when the movie was released as he was known for his baritone voice. They re-released the movie with his original voice later on. On release, the movie did not do well from a Box Office point of view, but Amitabh Bachchan did receive his first National Film Award for Best Actor and the movie has a cult following even today. It had a great background score. The director Mukul Anand is known for stylish movies and Agneepath was one of his best. At that time, the movie was slammed for being a run of the mill revenge story, but today people agree that the movie was ahead of its time. One of my Fav all time movies.

Agneepath is one of the masterpieces of Indian cinema. Great dialogues written by the late Kader Khan, its delivery by all the actors, overall music and direction. All the actors including Master Manjunath, Rohini Hattangadi, Tinnu Anand, Vikram Gokhale, have played their characters so well. You can see the brilliance of Danny Denzongpa, his screen presence is epic as always. Mithun Chakraborty is fun to watch. No offense to jaby and achara but to understand, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan...... pura naam..... maloom, you must understand the nuances of hindi language. No word from any language in the world can replace the word maloom in Mr. Bachchan's voice.
