Living in India is really easy. You can easily find someone as maid & driver. & Offcourse neighbours are always helpful if you inform them about your problem. In developed countries the neighbours are not willing just to know your name also 😢 I was always amazed to know that how can someone handle simultaneously office work & home. Having a maid & cook makes it so easy 😊

People are helpful in Bharat. However the UK is also the same, we have a house in a great neighbourhood and they all are very kind and helpful. Our neighbours were always there for us and now we are in Bharat and they are watching over our property. People in Europe are frank and honest and when they make friends there is no cast or wealth consideration.

Coming to livelihood in India it would be important to understand the competency you people carry and that can be done on the Sunday live session ... I have already expressed about cars so will not delve into it One thing that has crossed my mind is that both of you having UK background can operate as Tour Operators for all European guests .... as they will be very comfortable with you and assured that they are in right hands ..... you can employ people to be guides and organizers who can communicate fluently in French Spanish Italian and German languages ... English toh aani hi hai India mey. Another thing is that you can go into fleet business for tours and operations. Lastly .... good to see kids expressing themselves ... and that brings me to the last input .... you can start a cloud kitchen to cater to foreign guests food requirements Love to kids and Namaskar to both of you.

India is growing at a fast pace and it has great feature but India has long way to catchup to the west. Indian property market at the moment is well overpriced. Many people have their own personal drivers and helpers too but it can be unnerving coming from the UK where this isn't common and you're worried about your children's safety. Perhaps you may be afraid about the driver in a rental vehicle but once you have your own car, would you not get a driver? Won't it be difficult for you to adjust to driving on Indian roads? That's something to think about too.

The govt has simplified the tax structure for intrastate logistics and deep water ports are being built in the south. I believe your husband has experience in driving a tractor trailer in the UK. As an Indian who speaks the lingo I don't think you'd be paying higher price, but wherever I go we get asked higher price so jash usually go alone :) Rental market varies from city to city so are the prices. Here you are looking for about £400 a month for 2 bed flat. but in Mumbai or Delhi prices are much higher. I look forward to seeing you at the live show next week

Hi! I'm a resident of Bangalore. I can clear some of your doubts. Bangalore and Mumbai are pretty cosmopolitan. You won't have to pay extra as an expat. The IT (information technology) corridors have higher rents because of demand and supply issues. You can stay in older parts of Bangalore like malleshwaram, jayanagar, Rajajinagar etc. The rents are relatively cheaper and the facilities are far better. You can follow Ivana. Who's a Dutch living in India for the past 2 years. Although I wouldn't suggest all the advices she gives, you could relate to her better

You could consider visiting Thailand and seeing what you think? The only downside is starting a business there I would think but as a place to live its great and I have a few Indian friends that live there because their fathers moved to that country where they set up business in the 80's. Lots of twix to be found as well btw but as a starting point just a visit maybe a good idea.

You guys probably need a chartered accountant who can help you understand income taxes in India as well. Most accountants have no clue how to deal with foreigners. You will need one who has a decent idea of how to do it. For example, you will pay 1% tax on the car that you will buy. But this isn't actually a tax because they will refund it to you once you file a tax return. They just collect the tax for data about who is buying cars. And then they refund it to people who file their tax returns.

If you do decide to stay in India for good, how difficult is it for you get resident and work permit aka immigrant visa from the Indian government as you are foreigners?

I already have OCI which is like a permanent visa and I’m able to do most things that people with Indian passport can. Besides I don’t want to go to a paid employment. I’m an entrepreneur so work for myself - don’t need to issue myself a permit for that 😝

My mum has been married to my dad for 39 years. My whole family has no divorces and yes you do hear occasionally that it happens but if there is a true love and respect, it wouldn’t happen. If you marry Polish woman, she will not kill you so you’ll live long life. And you you be very happy too! But there will be many cultural differences to overcome and Indian woman are too caring and make good wives so maybe first look around before you look far.
