There is a. Difference in hypersonic and agni... Agni achieve speed 24 mach after reaching sky towards downward while hypersonic missile achieve continuous speed of mach 5....

Agni V speed and hypersonic missile speed are different thing as hypersonic missile are Cruise missiles not rocket missiles, cruise missile can fly very low and turn directions, these two features makes it hard to detect and hard to intercept by missile defence systems

Information is a lil bit confusing... Hypersonic doesn't mean only mach speed.. it is equipped with cruse technology. Agni5 is not a cruse missile whereas China has developed cruise missile with hypersonic speed.

Bhai Agni 5 is not cruise missile .....for launch it has to first go to space then set target ....and at that phase it's easily target able....after re entry it has that 25 Mac ...and bi the way all ballastic missile have same speed ..... approx

Sir here I want to interrupt you because agni 5 is fall in the category of ballistic missile and most of the ballistic missile achieve hypersonic speed but they can Be detected by radars even China and other countries also have such missile. But a turly hypersonic missile is one which falls in the category of cruise missile like brahmos.thats why agni 5 is not called hypersonic 🌹

Ballistic missile follow the parabolic path so they achieve there speed due to gravitational force of earth after the missile achieve the max height

Agni is balastic missile whose path can be guessed and interept the incoming balastic missile by air defense system.... Where as hyper sonic cruise missile path cannot be guessed easily which makes hypersonic missile deadly. Most of the balastic missile around the world have more than 10 Mach speed at least

When you give the figure for the speed of sound you must also mention the altitude. As air pressure falls speed of sound reduces. In space the speed of sound is 0. Mach number for a satellite, or missiles in near orbital space, is irrelevant.

What India tested is a ballistic missile and what China tested was a Hypersonic glide vehicle that orbited Earth 2 times and than entered and traveled just at the EDGE of the atmosphere in gliding and changing direction. India's Agni Missile for a pre defined trajectory easy to predict the entire path of Missile and intercept.
