You could have just bought the trumpeter kit for less than a quarter of the price of this 😂

@@bobbyrayofthefamilysmith24 Not really. Sure, the Trumpeter kit is cheaper than this model, but that is JUST THE KIT. How much do you reckon you will spend on glue, paint, solvents, clears, etc on it? It's a big model, so naturally a few more hundred usd. Then if you want to enhance the details, because the Trumpeter kit isn't all that accurate, so how much for aftermarket parts, photoetch sets? Then comes the question if you want lights and if you know how to solder LED's to light it up. How much for the electronic components? Once all that is set and done, how much is your time worth? Iv seen pro model builders spend over half a year to a year building that thing, how much would it take a beginner to tackle such a project, and when they do, will the results be display worthy? In the end, either model will cost more or less the same and it'd be a matter of personal preference, although if one is a beginner modeler, to just invest in this die cast one.

@Enojadoland A year to build a model ship this size is nothing you'd easily spend that probably more building a wooden model. If modelling is your hobby what's the problem with the time spend? But even with aftermarket parts the trumpeter is still going to be less than £1000 a few LEDs is nothing. These magazine models cost about 2k when done. This one does look a lot better than the Bismarck which was not accurate had poor quality and looked like an awful toy. However it's still crazy over priced and a cheaper model can be built with either trumpeter or a wood kit.

im such a science geek, was so excited for the eclipse ( we are right next to niagara falls, NY ) we were right in the path of totality, bada bing, overcast until an hour AFTER the eclipse... really was still cool, how fast it got black, then light again, messed my wife all up!

I think Wayne missed a large window in stage 91. I saw the space for the window, I saw it on the photoetch, but I didn't see it on the model.

Loving the build. I am a few packs behind myself and I had a question: Do you have any information on the battery box/test board? I can't seem to find mine anymore, and was wondering if I could just get an equivalent/replacement online somewhere or if I had to go through the Agora models website.

Hi Wayne, in stage 90, just near the curved window, my OCD got triggered by what looks like an out of align lug where the screw bracket is, is that tweakable to align it to the wood flooring or is the wood flooring slightly off alignment? Cheers😎👍

I see this model has a four bladed center prop...This was not on the titanic.. There are quite a few inaccuracies with this.

@@WorldofWayneUK That is the Olympic, there were several photos that the photographer took of the Olympic that were passed off as the Titanic. The Titanic was the second ship built, As such the Olympic and the Titanic shared alot of things. so the photographer didnt want to waste money and only took pertinent Pics that were different between the 2, and rehashed other photos of the Olympic. Four bladed prop was Tested on Olympic and Titanic was fitted with a 3 Blade Prop. Harland & Wolff also show this in their own records.

You are right about the pic but from what I understand that was a theory from a scholar called Mark Chirnside. It has been disputed and other researchers have also supported him. I guess we will never know.
