The reason you don't get wedding photos an hour after the event is because it takes 30-40 hours of work to cull, retouch, and process the photos properly (on average, depends on the size of the wedding.) That's mostly what you pay for. Shooting the wedding is important, but it only takes a few hours and is not the bulk of the work.

So I've been seeking something like this player. And I'm seeing all kinds of Android media players that work with this thing like KODI and will stream gobs of stuff. Seems like many more capabilities and are offered for about $10 less than the less capable AGP. These seem very attractive and they all seem to offer using SD cards and USB sticks as media sources. What I'm unsure about is if these things are able to be configured like the AGPTek where they just boot and play the media. If so, these would seem to be an even less expensive way to go.

I have one of these and it works just like you said it does. very nice indeed BUT..how do you set the slide who delay/intervals. My unit has defaulted to 5 seconds but I am sure that can be changed The manual mentions nothing about that feature

The only reason i bought this is to play videos on our honda pilots rear screen. You Cannot simply just plug in a usb drive into the ports in the vehicle to play mp4 files so i think this is the perfect solution for those long drives with kids. Just load up the thumb drive with youtube videos and let it play.

4gb constraint is usually a FAT32 thing...how was your usb storage device formatted? I'd hope this player allows reading NTFS formatted sticks...just mentioning possible stuff...hope it might somehow help

@@MM-fe2rm No, never got an answer but I bought the AGPTEK Mini 1080 from amazon and it works. I think it's as long you ripped the movies with windows and not Mac, it should be fine. Mine doesn't have the controls on the box so you have to use the remote. Also I find that the movies are all darker than normal so if there are dark scenes in the movie, it's difficult to see what's happening.

If the remote has enough "Uphh", It may not be a problem. I have a Sharp TV, and the infared is strong enough to where I can point the remote at the ceiling, or the wall behind me and it works. Helps if you have light colored walls as IR is still just light.

MP4 is a container, not a codec. First guess is that you are using an incompatible codec. Try re-encoding your MP4 as h.264. Let us know how it goes.

I just received mine this morning, it is not recognizing M4V Format. We will see as I go, because with 4tb of videos, I have VOB, FLV, MP4, XLV, MKV, M4V etc. So is there a special setting. they play with VLC media player fine.

All the reviews ive seen on media units overlook file navigation & accessibility .Ive seen the same menu on many other brands & they also never seem to utilise all of the available screen estate. The linear navigation & scrolling also looks cumbersome unless you intentionally reduce the amount of content you place on the storage device. EG 14:38 How would the user navigate a device which can store 10000 photos , 5000 songs & 400 movies or more? Are they supposed to re- arrange & again prep files in advance into folders for these units to make them more manageable to scroll to ? What is the ideal number ? Creating more folders also means you may have to do more scrolling to find that folder & file. I'm looking for two digital media players for my retired parents for offline use. I tried using a tablet with hdmi output but there was latency on the larger screen that could not be offset. A netbook is ideal but excessive. Please consider file management , accessibility & older users in future reviews thank you.

Autoplay works but everyone needs to know several things: 1. All files that you want to be autoplayed will need to be in the root directory. 2. All videos will play before photos will start to be displayed. You cannot mix photos and videos randomly. 3. Videos can be set to be randomly played, however, photos cannot be set to be randomly displayed. This is very odd that this was intended. Photos will display in sequence and there is nothing that you can do about this. Because of this, I am sending my unit back to Amazon for refund. I wanted to make my living room TV into a digital picture frame. I wanted the TV screen to show videos and photos intermixed and randomized and repeating indefinitely. Not going to happen with this product. It was close but no cigar. I was very disappointed to find this out. Also, iphone videos ran from a class 4 SD card were slightly choppy but I am sure a faster SD card would solve that. So back to the drawing board trying to find a simple way to make my TV into a digital picture frame without requiring an internet connection to any device.

Bring a video projector to an event or party. DVD is acceptable but low res compared to MP4 today. Never a good idea to leave a laptop unattended without a cable lock slot which is not included on the newer small laptops. $35 player with HD looping. Win Win

I'm about to install two TVs in a business to present advertising images. Sure, the TV's are capable of playing images or videos from a USB stick. But these have to be manually started by interacting with the TV. I need something that will just power up and begin playing without intervention. I believe that's the part that makes this more foolproof.

As long as you format it FAT32, there's no reason you can't use an SSD. Just make sure you're using an SATA adapter that provides power via an AC adapter (not the USB port). Cheap adapters may omit this.

I have only had mine for a year and it only works when it feels like working.. sometimes it will switch to Chinese language, and since I don't read Chinese, I couldn't figure out how to put it back to english. Sometime is would just get stuck on folder, and won't let you enter any more commands.. Not worth the hassel

Good question. I actually got one of these for a friend who is hard of hearing, and it does indeed decode embedded subtitles (eg., within M4V files). I've never tried with separate SRT files though, sorry. But the videos that have embedded subtitles allow you to turn them on and off as you'd normally expect. I don't think you can change the speed: typically this is encoded into the video with timestamps so it generally matches the actual speech speed. I have not noticed any feature to move the position.

None are USB 3.0....they are all USB 2.0. The few that are USB 3.0, have terrible reviews. And I can't buy one with "Android" in the title....because it makes me feel like it will become outdated sooner rather than later. I researched a lot of products.... But none have made me more pissed TF off than trying to find a digital media player that has USB 3.0 and no version of Android. I guess I'll wait until 2030. Hopefully by then they will actually exist!! Tbh, I'm thinking about just buying a PS5 and using that instead. It's WAY more expensive. I have one of these and the build quality is terrible. Sure it's made from aluminum instead of plastic but the power supply connectors are sized differently/don't match. It constantly comes loose reboots itself cancelling out the playback. The USB port is finicky and unreliable as well, requiring me to squeeze USB connectors to get a tight enough fit. Forget about operating it without the the remote, as the minuscule movements that pressing buttons creates shakes the connections loose. Oh yes the picture interface sucks too. If I'm viewing photos I have to use the TV input, sad that a cheap best buy TV photo interface is much better. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for lol.

Thanks Jakub. I do not recall seeing any ability to rotate the display, sorry. I believe it is intended to be standard display orientation only, so doing as you desire would actually require creating the files rotated 90 degrees. Easy for images, not so much for video. But could technically be done (eg., produce your video at 9:16 instead of 16:9 aspect ratio or same with images... 1080x1920 files, then rotate them 90 degrees in before putting them on the device).

2 years later I stumble over your reply and probably have bad news: it seems that this player can't be used to play audio only - without attaching a tv screen. I connected mine to my amp and speakers and found that it doesn't respond directly to the remote - which I now assume only works with a tv screen that's been linked to it. There seems to be no way to coax the player to play audio files from the USB drive I've inserted. Disappointing, given that there must a programme built into it for handling mp3 files and playing them via tv speakers. Many a simple plan/dream doesn't survive it's first contact with reality!

@@ochjim Hi Jim, well, about 1 year ago or longer (probably longer lol) I discovered a High-End HiFI component that totally meets the needs that I was requesting these few years ago; unfortunately, I still have not been able to afford it but I've had the plans to buy it for over a year now. It's called the Aune X5S and it's a high resolution digital audio player that supports DSD and almost every digital format on an SD card or USB input. As for your response, that wouldn't have been a problem for me because part of my Hi-Fi integration includes a small monitor so the device that you were speaking of would work in that case, but fortunately, I found this other solution.
