AgriJeep Farm Jeeps in Action

A rare opportunity to watch the AgriJeeps in their natural habitat on the farm, working as they were designed to do. There was a Monroe 3-point hitch, plow, backhoe, Jeep-A-Trench, winch, air compressor, cement mixer, chainsaw, post hole digger, and belt drive system. A big thanks to the 2016 Willys Jeep Rally at Heuston Woods State Park in Ohio!

This is a great video! I suspect the primary reason Jeeps no longer offers PTO equipment as we see in this video and in various others, is that when Jeep (or Chrysler, Fiat, etc.) is making so many of them for the recreational market, the prospect of selling another 5,000 or 10,000 or even 20,000 to a very specialized market, is not attractive to their corporate bean counters. I had Koenig PTO winches on several Land Rovers I owned years ago. To this day I have great respect for power take-off winches. I have a Warn electric winch on my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, I've seldom used it. I still prefer the old Koenig's. On the other hand, my Jeep (and my wife's Grand Cherokee Overland diesel we sold prior to moving to Hawaii), have won my appreciation that these vehicles are far more reliable than the Land Rover (and Rover car) products I used to drive. My wife wants us to replace her 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland diesel--which to this day we've not yet replaced--with a Gladiator (with gasoline engine). I'm aware of the fact that you sold your Gladiator after owning it for, I think, less than one year. I agree. To an extent, safety with a PTO is similar to gun safety - if you don't touch the trigger the gun is unlikely to fire. Similarly, if you keep your body away from a moving PTO it's unlikely you will get hurt. I have seen a number of farm related injuries and I don't recall the PTO ever being the culprit (anecdotal, I know).

Why are people scared of PTOs? I used to make a fortune with my 71 225 V6 powered Jeep pulling vehicles out of snowbanks with my PTO Konig winch.

Nice video. Would like to find an old AgriJeep to redo and use, or at least a hydraulic PTO to fit to something else. The dually jeep looked impressive, was it a special axle or just a modified regular axle?

It's just a 5 lug adapter that mounts to the wheel.

Do those jeeps have throttles like a tractor where you can set the throttle somewhere and it stays or do you have to hold the gas pedal or leave it at idle?
