Galactic Trust HQ: Xeno 1: "What do you mean they made an alliance?!" Xeno 2: "Just that, sir; the Laggo have signed on to the humans' "Interstellar Coalition", with only a small exchange of reparations in the form of resources; no planets changed hands." Xeno 1: "But we sent them to attack the humans! The whole point was to sow distrust between the two biggest threats in that arm of the galaxy while we rebuild from our losses!" Xeno 2: [Maybe if you actually read my briefing on their history you'd understand you stupid piece of-] "Yes sir. Alas, it has failed and we must consider defensive plans." Xeno 1: "Defensive? The Trust? The monkeys may have held off some invasions but once the full might of the trust is thrown at them they will break! Now, how goes the rearmament plan?" Xeno 2: [We are so screwed. I hope the humans allow defectors to live.] "Well sir, the Zagamesh have..."

Honestly, that bit at the end about an inter species coalition reminds me of the current events of the Destiny timeline. Humanity’s been fighting against 4 invading alien races for centuries, and now 2 of them have become our allies because we’ve been kicking their arses for so long (among other factors), they’ve realised the best was to play nice. Granted, it’s a bit more complicated than I’m making it out, but still…

If you think that's wild the French and Mexico almost went to war over pastries....I am not kidding. Happened in the 1800's. Some French guy was selling Pastries somewhere in Mexico and the Mexican soldiers kept taking his wares without paying. He complained to the French ambassador. @@shardinhand1243 That's an interesting one, actually. That flower was bestowed an oft reincarnated soul that, in every single one of its lives, saw itself killed directly or indirectly by Arthur Dent. Or, at least, Arthur Dent was involved in the event at some point, in some way (one of its lives was a cow that was slaughtered for meat, and one of the burgers was eaten by Arthur). At some point in the story, Arthur gets kidnapped by that being, who explains this to him in order to justify why they're going to kill him in revenge. When the flower came into existence and realised that it was falling to its end, it understood its situation instantly and could only react with a dejected thought.
