I've listened to this video before, but today I actually got choked up over story 1, even though I was only playing it for background noise while working on something in a game. recently, my late grandmother's best friend passed away a few days after having a stroke. the stroke made me realize i should cherish double spacing this and not finishing what i was writing above because I broke down crying as i typed that last word. I had realized while typing the last word up there that my mother had asked me if I wanted to accompany her on her first trip to the hospital after (my grandmother's best friend) Aunt Ginny's stroke. I was already thinking about her passing as a result of the story and was choked up as is, but that sudden realization just made something break in my mind, and i just glared at my screen in realized frustration and just broke down there. about 7 seconds in, I pounded my desk, and for a bit, i just sat, headset on, face held in both hands, crying, then, it started to rain in the game tab i left to write what's above the double spacing. I tried to laugh at the situational poetry of it, thinking back to the scene from the fox and the hound 2, but that didn't help at all... i must've sat for over a minute, or however long it was, just crying into my hands... I then got up, and left to go confide in my mom about it, something she did with me yesterday for similar reasons... i spent another minute doing so, and I won't go into detail about what I said to her, since it boils down to what I'm saying here, because it was the same thing, but she told me to just remember that feeling so sad over someone's passing means that you really did value them and love them. My Aunt Ginny, though she may not have been my aunt by blood or other relation, is without a doubt, one of the two most wonderful people I've ever met in my life up to this point, flaws and all. I love her very much, and will cherish all the time I was able to spend with her, even if I wish I had taken more opportunities to make memories with her, I can only do my best to continue learning others' memories of her and adding them to my own as things I know she certainly did and doing my best to immortalize it in my mind. Both her and my grandmother were amazing artists, who worked together on certain projects, so I figure that a good way to immortalize them both is to cement them and their memory in a format which others may be able to witness themselves, so they can know these two wonderful people. Cherish your loved ones, no matter how old, young, frail, or strong they may be. You will have all the more memories to remember them with if you do. Sorry for the text wall, but I needed to say this. I don't care who reads it, or even if anyone bothers to, I just need it in writing.

Story 1. When your life is short, it's worth increase. Every moment become precious. Having a very long life, while seeming a good thing, actually dilute that worth. Story 2. Even if it's covered with spines, if you stroke correctly, it can be surprisingly sort and smooth...

I feel your pain.Losing a short lived friend hurts ,a great deal. More than losing an arm i am told. Yet for all of this , we cannot be as close to our mortal friends as we'd like. When we admire someone , when we are really fond of them, we keep our distance. Our contacts are infrequent and brief It must be so i fear. The temptation is too great. We are tempted to sin, which never ends well for anyone. We are tempted to share our nature with them, to snatch them out of Our Father's embrace. It cannot be done ! Whatever quality endears them to us, is lost in the transformation. The result is a monster we cannot love anymore. in just a short century ,canot bear their company; to the point we must send them away, before we reach the point or ending what we have made. To our eyes our new child , is a weak wicked monster, we cannot love. We have very few rules. One that is religiously kept, is never to transform a loved one personally. We let one from another blood line to do the deed for us. it is far from perfect, but we do not feel the urge to end them, when we cannot abide their company any more. That is why we keep our distance, making out contacts brief and infrequent. Pain feeds our rage, the pain of loss can make of us irrational monsters for a time. The last thing humanity needs, is one of us on a blind rage. we can claim a large city in just one night, a small country in two or three. Your weapons cannot stop us , except perhaps the nuclear ones. That will stop everything. Short of that .. we only get angrier. It exposes us , which we do not wish. We are not certain all the monitoring devices the gods left have been destroyed, nor all their agents perished. They think us dead, but they are not certain. It is to our advantage to keep them guessing.
