I remember when I was doing as much research as I could about the onewheel before I finally joined the float life. I came upon a video of you riding around Chicago going to Best Buy on your lunch break that was about half an hour long. I thought to myself “I’ll just watch a couple minutes, there’s no way I can sit here and watch this guy ride around for a half an hour”. The next thing I knew the video was over and I couldn’t stop watching other videos of you floating around. This new camera doesn’t have the same feel as your old setup but it’s still fresh as hell! Keep ‘em coming dog!

@@slydogstroh I have ridden electric unicycles and esk8's before, so I was really surprised at how hard of a time I had today just standing on the board, let alone ride it. But then I got an idea, humbled myself, set very attainable, simple goals to encourage myself and made a lot of progress. I studied your videos of your feet position, leg and hip movement, etc and made slo mo clips of that and it will help as I learn the board. I'm going out right now to a deserted parking lot and practice.

Stroh- another awesome vid man! So, 5:48- first off that was an AMAZING save- best video clip I think I've ever seen of a nosedive at speed (and of course your excellent recovery). I'm new to this, approaching 200 miles, no nosedives and I'd really like to keep it that way. Here's the question: since you ride past pushback all the time, do you frequently encounter that scenario where the board nosedives and you react quick enough to ride it out until the motor kicks back in? Or is that a rare event for you? I LOVE my Onewheel, but I have to admit I'm pretty scared of nosedives. I really want to understand them as best I can- appreciate any feedback you can give.

Exactly what I was thinking too Mike. Is this a regular thing. I am new, only 4 miles BTW. Did not notice what mode he's riding in to determine push back speed. i was thinking is it a good idea to set mode low, somewhere soft and test push back for the experience/training?

I've heard others suggest that. From what I understand pushback is strong and very noticeable in Sequoia (I think), but I believe in Mission and Delirium the pushback is more subtle as there is less available power for the motor to devote to pushback when running at higher speeds. FWIW I just passed 400 miles and haven't felt pushback yet. I'm a pretty laid back rider, mostly cruise around 12-15mph- current lifetime top speed only 16.8

I 100% prefer the Onewheel to Eskates. It’s just really maneuverable, freeing without a remote and crazy fun for off-road as well as on the street. Onewheel has a huge cult following because the machine is just so freaking fun to ride.
