I work at UPS, Preload. Those numbers on box #4 could be the "HIN" numbers. They represent the location of the parcel and the shelf in the package car. The loader will write the larger numbers on the outside of the box because the "PAL" label that contains that info is often too small. It helps the driver locate parcels quicker throughout the day. 2148 = 2k Shelf. I could be wrong...those could be from somwhere else. But thats my best bet.

Merry Christmas Hunter. I think you really need to look over all your other mod projects - even the ones that have been in progress for like a year (Cough-Cough) - and then see what you may not have already done. I mean you've done the Hipshot tuner/ Evertune / Fishmann or Bareknuckle thing several times now. Really hard to work out what to do next that isn't a retread - but fits in with the chug-life. Plus things like the Holcombe already exist too.

9:37 Spot on. Innovations are welcomed in the bass world. You see dingwall, ibanez basses in pop scenes whereas a slightest innovation for example an active pickup is seen as a curse word in the guitar community.
@andrewpardue3324 Жыл бұрын
I had heard that name before but recently have just seen those Dingwall basses for the first time ! W😮W are they an incredible looking bass! the finishes alone are a full Mindblower ! I would imagine they sound just as bad ass as they look. I am mainly a guitarist and own 13 electrics, 2 acoustics, and a Dean Metalman bass. Maybe in the future when I have the loot and I am a much better bass player I will think about getting one of those. I can’t see me needing another bass ever if I get a 5 string version of one of those Dingwalls.

Hunter, don't feel guilty for not loving the Wizard neck. I struggle with those and the Schecter Ultra thins, too. That said, check out the AZ series based on Andy Timmons' signature and then spun off into a Tim Henson signature. Those necks are much more comfortable and playable coming from the vintage and LP world. I own an AZ23...whatever it is Prestige and love it. Best Super Strat I ever played.

Ibanez Prestige are made out of the FGN factory in Japan and they do a proprietary fret end shaping. All the FGN guitars have it (and they are all AMAZING instruments). The same factory/company also does all the MIJ Fenders and Gretsch Custom Shop guitars. Anything out of the FGN factory is going to be a fucking phenomenal instrument; I'm not a big fan of the Ibanez Wizard neck as well, but the build quality is still insanely good. ...I also might be a little bit bias, as I primarily play FGN guitars.

Actually, Hunter, I think you have kind of a point with respect to the flat fingerboard of that Ibanez guitar. You are a severally avowed rhythm player; you do not pretend to be so much as a lead player, much less a shredder. With that point of view in mind, it would seem appropriate for you to prefer features that favor the sort of playing that you do. Chording (and perhaps riffing) will see benefits from a somewhat rounder fretboard than one optimized for shredding and bending. Given your love for Les Pauls, it is fitting that you would find the 12 inch fretboard radius of the Les Paul comfortable and the more shred-tastic 16.9 inch radius of the Ibanez somewhat less so. Indeed, I don't know how I would react to that fretboard radius; the flattest I have in my "guitarsenal" is 16 inches, and that's not quite as flat. I can't imagine it making THAT much difference though. I have two guitars that have 14 inch fretboard radii with a TOM-style bridge holding the strings. Unless I'm behind the times, 6-string TOM-style bridges only come in 12 inch radii, and that's how these two measure. My take is that there is a real difference between the 2 radii, but that the difference is slight enough so that the guitars can still play like a dream -- as indeed they do. They always did; that's why I bought them! I have a dozen guitars acquired over a bunch of years. I have fretboard radii from the 9.5 inches of my recently bought Donner DST-400s to the 12 inch to 16 inch conical (compound) radius of my humble but killer Jackson JS22 DKA Dinky in the Natural Oil finish on the 2 piece nyatoh body with the 2 point non-locking vibrato. While I don't think that I would fail at doing anything in particular because I was playing one neck instead of another, I confess that I can tell a difference. That difference could lead one to playing one way over another in response to the guitar's feel or sound. Any such differences will play into the match between player and instrument. All of that just says that you're very right when you say that the Ibanez isn't for you. With a fretboard THAT flat and my being even less of a shredder than you, I don't know how I'D like that Ibanez! Besides, there's nothing wrong with non-shredders liking shreddy guitars; shred features work for many styles!
@thisguy2973 Жыл бұрын
2:33 I say more single cuts please. Les Paul’s are the best, and the only thing better is a Heritage Custom Core H150. Period! For me with Ibanez’s, I’ve had four, and they all have a small shortcoming that ends up forcing me to return them. Loved them in the 90s, and early 2000s due to Korn being the prolific band to springboard Ibanez to the list of modern innovators, but 100% of the ones I’ve owned deflated my hopes for them as a brand.

This was my thought as well. Although I thought about just trying to put like a 7 string fishman pickup in the bridge to account for the angle. That would be for the baritone guitar sounds and then leave the neck pickup as is so I could switch to it and get actual bass sounds out of it. I think the multi-scale is around 28” to 30”, so actually a little shorter scale than a bass VI and the Squier and Gretsch 30” baritones.
@Return2TheLiving Жыл бұрын
