Japan make intruments for 2000 plus years. But US with 200 plus years say that they are the best and alien guitars are crap. And that's why i play Ibanez, made in japan. In my country we have a saying, traslated goes like this "Dog that bark does not bite"

Gibson partnering with Brian May just to have another famous name attached to their brand for the money grab smh
There are no deals at the Sam Ash store in my town. I’ve been over there twice now. What people don’t understand is that Sam Ash sold all their inventory, everything, to a liquidation company, so you aren’t buying anything from Sam Ash and 5 or 10% off a guitar that has been touched by thousands of hands by now is not very motivational.

I'm not paying Gibson money for an Epiphone, unless the headstock snaps-off like a Gibson.

Just as long as Fender keeps exploiting cheap labor and the humble Indonesian people this is perfectly ok with me. Just keep those poor people poor please. Keep those wages low, the kids hungry and the profits high

I know I'm shallow but at that price itd be nice to at least have the brand inlay, or a stylized planet Jupiter or something

the body color stripe on the headstock is the coolest spec on starcasters, this not having it is disappointing

Gibson Les Paul guitars are generally overpriced. Gibson can't knock Japanese acoustic guitars until they make a better one than Yairi. Not gonna happen.

The music and entertainment industry is dead....todays music sucks, there are no more guitar heroes like I grew up with in the 60s and 70s. If you go to a bar or some event with live music, all the musicians playing are dad bands and they already have all the guitars and amps they'll ever need.

It's the same reason why every single manga and anime have the same style of character design and no one can say squat. I love Japan for that reason. You need to focus on context to stand out rather than just put out a design. Imagine trying to monopolize a shape... That's like saying the person who came up with squares and circles will not let the world use squares and circles without paying royalties...

To even more oversimplify it, patents in the US hold no weight overseas.

No point purchasing at full retail from a physical store when you can purchase the same guitar in great condition secondhand for sometimes over $1000 cheaper. People would rather buy Japanese guitars when a good deal comes up than a Gibson or Fender with no discount at retail price

@Caribuu23 сағат бұрын
I bought a contemporary squire star caster a few months back. I can't put it down. Imo the best looking horns on a double cut away guitar besides EBMM valentine. The body shape is a little strange on the star caster tho and the head stock they added this stripe of paint that matches the body so it's not so ugly. But yeah like I said I can't help but pick it up and I got a prs, a lespaul and an sg right beside it.

It's because of Japan's e economic stagnation the country's median income is 1/3 of the US which makes japan a lower labor cost center once again like the 70s
